Camping de Montolieu

Liked Small well organised site about 15 minutes walk into Montolieu. Montolieu is a lovely little town with a couple of nice restaurants and a relaxed rural vibe.

There are several trails close to the campsite which were great for running and walking in the countryside.

Our pitch was a good size and private with a hedge on 3 sides. The facilities were well maintained and clean.

The reception team were very helpful and offered us the option of drinks and Pizza even though the site was lightly populated due to end of season.

The Wifi worked really well and we could stream content OK from out pitch.

We also made use of the laundry facilities which were great.

We also visited the Aqua Centre in Carcassonne for a swim in the lovely open air pool. This is one of the best municipal swimming facilities I have visited.

Disliked Everything was perfect for us.

Pour des sportifs comme vous, les environs de Montolieu sont particulièrement agréables, avec de nombreux chemins pour courir, marcher et profiter de la nature.

Même en fin de saison, nous tenons à garder le snack ouvert pour que nos campeurs puissent profiter d'un verre ou d'une pizza après leur journée.

For active guests like you, the countryside around Montolieu is a great place to explore, with plenty of trails for running, walking and enjoying nature.

Even towards the end of the season, we like to keep the snack bar open so our guests can enjoy a drink or a pizza after a day out.

Liked Lovely owners hosting a safe, secure, and quiet camp site just outside Montolieu.

They offer fresh pastries courtesy of a local baker and a bar in the evenings with choices of pizza and burgers.

Very clean ablutions with toilet roll and good showers.

Would 100% recommend and would stay again.

Disliked The fee for having a fridge on the pitch. Would have preferred a free communal fridge

Ça nous fait vraiment plaisir de savoir que vous vous êtes sentis bien et en sécurité chez nous. Entre les viennoiseries livrées le matin et un petit passage au snack le soir, vous avez bien profité de la vie au camping ! 🥐🍕

Pour le frigo, nous avons fait le choix de proposer des réfrigérateurs individuels à la location plutôt qu'un frigo collectif, mais nous prenons note de votre remarque.

As for the fridge, we understand that a free communal one would have been more convenient for you. We currently offer individual fridge hire, but we appreciate the suggestion.

Liked Quiet, good location, toilet blocks were good and clean.

Disliked The lights in the toilet blocks turned off when in the showers.

Regarding the lights, they are on automatic timers as part of our efforts to reduce unnecessary energy consumption. The timing is normally set to allow plenty of time for a shower, but we’ll keep your comment in mind and check that everything is working as it should. 😊

Nous sommes heureux que vous ayez apprécié le calme, l’emplacement du camping et la propreté des sanitaires.

Concernant l’éclairage, les lumières sont équipées de minuteries afin d’éviter une consommation d’énergie inutile. Le temps prévu permet normalement de prendre sa douche tranquillement, mais nous allons tout de même vérifier que le système fonctionne correctement. 😊

Liked Pitch size was ideal for my camper and seating. Snack bar and reception service with also fresh bakery delivery each day was superb. Lovely quiet setting and excellent facilities all round.

Disliked Os banheiros poderiam ser mais modernos e mais limpos. Poderia ter um mini mercado e um restaurante com mais opções.

Concernant les sanitaires, un rafraîchissement est justement prévu cet hiver. Nous avançons progressivement dans les améliorations du camping. 😊

Pour la restauration, nous avons fait le choix d’un snack avec une carte simple, dans l’esprit camping. Montolieu est à quelques minutes à pied et propose plusieurs restaurants et commerces pour compléter notre offre.

Thank you for your great 9/10 rating! We’re pleased that you enjoyed the welcome, the large shaded pitches and the facilities available on site.

Regarding the sanitary facilities, we are planning to refresh them this winter as part of the gradual improvements we are making to the campsite. 😊

As for food, we’ve chosen to keep our snack bar simple and in the spirit of camping. Montolieu is just a short walk away, with several restaurants and local shops offering additional options.
