Direct access to a gorgeous sandy beach. Spectacular backdrops of pine-clad mountains. A waterpark with slides, a paddling pool, a Jacuzzi and a heated swimming pool. If that’s what you’re looking for in your next family holiday, Camping Merendella, 10 minutes’ walk from the shops and restaurants of Moriani on Corsica, is the beachside hideaway for you. And there’s more on offer, of course. In need of some downtime? Slope off down to the beach to settle into a deckchair and soak up the Corsican sun. If more action is required, the site has a watersports centre with kayaks, pedal boats and underwater scooters for rent, and if that sounds too hardcore, put your feet up on sunset cruises bookable at the hub too. On-site facilities include a pétanque court, ping-pong tables and a gym, plus exercise sessions around the pool and several play areas for kids. There’s also a beachside restaurant (complete with gelateria and cocktail bar), where you can also source baguettes and pastries for breakfast between mid-June to mid-September (the rest of the year you’ll need to book this service the day before from reception). There’s also a small grocery store just opposite the entrance selling all the basics.

Liked Viele Stellplätze mit Meerblick. Bar sehr ansprechend. Gutes animationsangebot.

Disliked Badestellen nicht optimal, viele Steine. Sanitär etwa zu wenig.

Liked Il campeggio è molto bello, le piazzole grandi e la nostra era separata dalle altre con le siepi, dando la giusta privacy. Bagni sempre puliti e acqua calda nelle docce. Il wifi funziona quasi sempre, a volte un pochino lento.
Ci sono tante famiglie con bambini piccoli. Consiglierei di venire in macchina

Disliked Aggiungerei una fontanella/punto di ricarica acqua perché manca e l'acqua dei bagni è calda.

Liked Ein großer Campingplatz mit vielen Attraktionen für Kinder.

Disliked Achtung!! Als wir bei Pitchup gebucht haben hat 164 € für 5 Nächte gekostet. So haben wir auch per E-Mail die Rechnung bekommen. Beim Einchecken müssten wir noch 150 € darauf zahlen was nicht auf der Rechnung stand. Uns wurde erklärt, dass diese Probleme immer gibt wenn man über Pitchup bucht.
Die Sanitäranlagen waren alt und so dreckig. Für den Preis erwartet man was anderes.
Der ganze Campingplatz ist am Meer aber gibt es nur ein Mini Strand wo man schwimmen kann.
Wenn man die Ruhe haben möchte ist dieser Platz nicht dafür.

Disliked Purtroppo ho avuto una pessima esperienza. Mi hanno chiesto dei soldi in più quasi a stile estorsione o truffa. La cosa è ancora in sospeso e non ho avuto la restituzione.

If you’re up for a spot of urban sightseeing, historic Bastia (50 minutes’ drive) is just the place; explore the winding alleys lined with pink-stone townhouses that lead up to the citadel, or admire Tyrrhenian Sea views from verdant Jardin Romieu. Check out the extravagant ceiling frescoes in Église Saint Jean-Baptiste, and when you’ve had enough of culture, head for Place St Nicolas for a restorative glass of wine or an espresso in a pavement café. Happy to witness Corsica’s natural beauty on foot? Hopefully you’ll spot pink flamingoes on family walks around the Étang de Chjurlinu-Biguglia (45 minutes), and for something a little more challenging, hiking areas like Monte Calleruccio (55 minutes) lead into arid mountain foothills. Walk up to Cascade Naturelle Bucatoghju from the site (50 minutes’ stroll) for a refreshing dip in the water below the waterfall. If the family is demanding more high-octane pursuits, you can organise canyoning, horse riding on the beach and snorkelling at Costa Verde Sports Nature et Découvertes (two minutes).
