Anyone in the clan got a sweet tooth? For extra brownie points, grab some takeaway crêpes before shimmying down to the beach.
Also close to base are a local riding centre (five minutes) and Saint-Cast Aventure (five minutes), an activity centre with fab outdoor ents for pretty much anyone over the age of three. If you're one to appreciate sea views while strutting your stuff on the green, give putting a go at Golf de Saint-Cast Pen Guen (10 minutes), a lush links with far-ranging coastal vistas.
For a change of scene, move on to Cap Fréhel (25 minutes), a wildlife hub where dramatic pink sandstone cliffs, lighthouses and sweeping healthland landscapes are quite the sight to behold. Refreshed by country strolls, you'll be ready to set out for bigger towns like Saint-Malo (40 minutes) with its gorgeous Intra-Muros Quarter and aptly-named Grand Aquarium.
