  • Green and scenic Burgundy site in the Morvan Regional Natural Park
  • Castles, archaeological sites, lakes and watersports all close by
  • Pool, sunbathing garden, restaurant, play area and miniature golf
Scenic stays and active days are what's on the menu at the fab and family-friendly site of Le Manoir De Bezolle, for it's in the spectacular setting of the Morvan Regional Natural Park, a vast protected swathe of hills, lakes, woodland and farmland in the countryside of Burgundy. Lots of long unpaved country roads meander around these parts for mountain biking, hiking and horse riding; canoeing, kayaking and whitewater rafting are nearby on the Chalaux river; and the local dams, reservoirs and lakes are popular places for yet more watersports: get out sailing or pass a placid day casting off for French fish. Le Manoir De Bezolle covers eight hectares and has a good range of modern and comfy services. The pitches are terraced and overlook the surrounding hills, in an accommodation area a short walk away from the main site facilities and amenities of a toilet and shower block, a washing-up area, a play area and miniature golf. Also among the handsomely-set facilities is a seasonal pool, surrounded by a spacious garden with a few sun loungers. And if you're the sort to bring le chien or other pet on your Burgundy countryside break, all sorts are assured of a warm welcome from the Manoir De Bezolle team.

What customers say

This campsite gets top marks for its pool, cleanliness, and amazing views, especially from higher spots. Guests loved the friendly staff, spacious pitches, and chill vibe. Downsides included limited food, some pool issues, and poor management service. Wi-Fi was spotty, and the bar was cash-only.

Power optional grass and earth campsite

Liked We loved the natural, quiet, family friendly vibe of this place. It was so peaceful. The view was amazing from our non-electrical pitch. The owners are very nice and helpful.

Disliked The only drawback was that the toilet block closest to us was being serviced and was out of use, so we had to use the main reception which was a bit of a longer walk away. However, when the building is finished it will be so lovely. It was also a shame that there was no evening entertainment, which we were expecting. However, I must say that it was still a really enjoyable stay.

Power optional grass and earth campsite

Liked Good views from top of the site

Disliked Do not let the good reviews fool you! On arrival you have to park your car at reception and walk around the site and pick a pitch ( not ideal after a long drive and paying for electric pitch) would of thought it would be picked for you like most campsites. Very limited food menu and no kids menu at all. Only one waitress serving maybe 8/9 different groups. The pool looks nice before you get in it, but can tell it was cheaply built and not maintained ( they still had the pool hoover/cleaner robot in as we swam) and you can feel lumps and bumps under the liner. This is where our problem started. My son sliced his foot on a sharp object that had pierced through the pool lining and there was a lot of blood! I asked the owner for help and a first aid kit and he handed me a small plaster and said he had nothing else not even tissue to stop the bleeding! A friendly couple that where staying at the site helped us clean my sons foot up and the pool decking whilst the manager watched on. He then sent the man that helped us into the pool with a hammer to hit the sharp object back down, rather than actually fixing it. After we was cleaned up I took my son into the bar and asked the manager if he could have a packet of Haribo sweets on the house to cheer him up, he laughed in my face and served other guests. I then ordered two drinks which came to €6.5, I had 5 euros in change and asked if that was ok as I thought I was owed some compensation for my son as he was visibly in pain and upset, the manager threw the change at me and told me to get out. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL ESPECIALLY FOR ENGLISH GUESTS. No toilets near the pitch we chose as all the ones close to the toilet where taken. We have 8 different campsites around Europe and this has been the worse by far.

Power optional grass and earth campsite

Liked Everything! Wow, what a spotless campsite. We will be using regularly on our trips to France. Helpful reception staff let us know about the pitches up top with a nice view and it certainly was a stunning view with an excellent sunset. The washing up facilities were the cleanest I’ve seen on any campsite and the toilets and showers were also spotless. Pool was brilliant, very clean and very welcome after a long drive. Thank you for a brilliant stay!

Local attractions

This is green and excellent land for outdoor activity aficionados, with kilometres' worth of country roads for hiking, cycling and horse riding, and lakes, reservoirs, rivers and dams all around for getting out onto the water. Look out for the 'base nautique' signs in the region if you've come to this land for watersports: options could include canoeing, kayaking or rafting on the Chalaux river; sailing or taking a pedalo out on the lakes; sailing and canoeing on the Lac des Settons; and swimming from the wild beaches dotted around Lac de Pannecière. On land, Lac de Pannecière and Lac des Settons are on the Pays Tour du Morvan hiking trail, passing the other major lakes of the natural park including Chambou, Chaumeçon, the Crescent and St Agnan. More watersports – naturellement – are available at each, along with walks, horse rides and cycling in the lake surrounds. About 80 kilometres from local town Saint-Pereuse, take the kids for a day at Le PAL, the animal and theme park with over 700 inhabitants to see.
