If you’re looking for somewhere quiet, embedded deep in greenery and surrounded by views of the volcanic peaks of Auvergne, Camping Onlycamp Le Claux has got you covered on all three bases – and several more. It sits on the Petite Rhue River, and is a handy gateway for hiking in the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Natural Park.
Spacious, semi-shaded pitches are sheltered by trees, and all have (optional) electric hook-ups. Facilities include modern shower and loo blocks, with washing-up sinks and a baby-changing area (plus kids’ equipment like high chairs for hire).
Services on site include bread delivery from a local bakery and a small grocery store with regional produce for sale. Not looking to stray too far from your pitch? Keep toddlers amused at the play area, play gently competitive games of pétanque and tennis with all the family, splash about in the Petite Rhue or cast a line or two to see what you can catch.

The campground/park does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Breed-specific legislation (i.e. Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.- Twin axle vehicles are not permitted on site.
