Set near the Pyrénées National Park, minutes away from the Aspe river and only a short drive away from the Spanish border, Camping Le Gave d'Aspe is ideal to enjoy the great outdoors. There are many valleys, lakes, mountains and forests where customers can enjoy a wide range of activities: from paragliding and mountain biking to hiking and horse-riding, there's plenty to do nearby. You can even swim in the river or launch a kayak.
Facilities include toilet blocks with free hot showers (also suitable for disabled guests), a launderette, a play area for the kids and a barbecue area. Free wifi is available on site.
The village of Urdos is only minutes away. Here you will find shops, bars and a few restaurants.

Local attractions
The campsite is conveniently located for a trip to the Pyrénées National Park, a nature reserve stretching along France’s mountainous border with Spain. Enjoy a number of outdoor activities including hiking and cycling near the lakes, waterfalls, forests and dramatic cliffs. It will be easy to spot one or two golden eagles, griffon vultures and you might even see some bears.
Located within the Pyrénées National Park is the Cirque de Gavarnie, an immense wall of rock 1,700 metres high and 14km in circumference. It contains one of the most impressive waterfalls in Europe (422m vertical drop) and is close to two other giants: the Cirque de Troumouse and the Cirque d’Estaubé.
Other outdoor activities available in the nearby areas include horse-riding, paragliding, kayaking and swimming.
Guests can also visit a number of small medieval villages such as Borce. Here you can also visit the animal park, home to marmots, Pyrenean chamois, bears, goat and sheep.
