General
- Family-friendly Ontario park on the shores of the Lake of the Woods
- Kenora 90 minutes' drive; just over an hour to the US border
- Playground, beach, rental boats and kayaks
Located at the south-eastern corner of the Lake of the Woods in Nestor Falls, Ontario, this friendly park covers over 10 acres of treelined grounds. Life really does revolve around the lake at Clarke and Crombie Camp and RV Park – there are spectacular views over the water around every corner here, plus a sandy beach where you can relax – or take out rental boats and kayaks if you're in the mood for watersports.
Facilities at Clarke and Crombie Camp and RV Park include an amenities block with showers and a playground for the kids (which, handily, can be seen from every pitch). As well as the park's small on-site shop, each plot also has its own picnic table and firepit, making it easy to cook your own supper without leaving base. And if you do feel like a meal out, there are half a dozen restaurants along the Trans-Canada Highway within a few minutes' drive.
There are lots of places to get out for a bit of fishing in the local area, and there's a rod and tackle shop in Nestor Falls to make sure you've got all the right kit. Other leisure activities include hiking and cycling, which can be easily enjoyed here as several trails are within a few minutes' walk of base.

Local attractions
The park is located right on the edge of Nestor Falls, a popular resort that sits on Sabaskong Bay on the edge of the Lake of the Woods. The area has a reputation for excellent game fishing, with common catches including bass, walleye, trout, pike and perch. The park is also a couple of minutes' drive from a seaplane station, where you can book onto sightseeing tours and experience the lakes and mountains of the Canadian Shield from the air.
Clarke and Crombie Camp is also just over half an hour away from Sioux Narrows by road. This is a popular provincial nature park with great lakeside activities, just a short boat ride away from indigenous pictographs. You could also continue up the highway to Kenora (an hour and a half), a small city that's popular with visitors for its bustling waterfront and five different beaches.
Longer distance travel is also easy from here, as Clarke and Crombie Camp is in a convenient location just over an hour's drive from International Falls and the US border.
