Welcome to what could reasonably be described as Shkodër’s sweet spot… On the south side of the city, where the Buna and Drin rivers meet, and with Rozafa Castle towering above, Camping Legjenda is a family-friendly site in a fabulously scenic location. Whether you’re looking out to the river and forest or up to the castle, the views here are spectacular – particularly if you climb the site’s observation tower for a bit of extra elevation. And being just a little way outside of the city centre (five minutes’ drive or a 40-minute walk) means that there’s plenty of space on site – space that’s been filled with trees for shade and arty installations for a touch of colour and culture. Speaking of arty installations, that approach even extends to the swimming pool – probably quite unlike any other you’ve ever seen, with a circular design topped by a floating gazebo lounge. It’s quite the stylish spot to chill out in after a day of exploring the city. A long day out might also finish with a massage or a home-cooked meal in the cosy restaurant (or out on the terrace if it’s a warm day). Other leisure facilities on site include bike hire, a play area and a volleyball court. As for the practicalities, they’re all sorted too – you’ll have access to a kitchen, a barbecue area, a wifi service and drinking water as well as showers and toilets. Reception staff can also help you organise tours of the castle and the local countryside.

This campground gets high marks for its friendly staff, lovely pool, and great restaurant. The location is ideal for exploring the town and uses public transit easily. Most guests liked the vibe and shady spots, though some from May 2026 found the showers/toilets dated and pitches cramped. Management is aware and working on upgrades.

Liked Campeggio piacevole, ordinato, silenzioso con piscina (abbastanza grande) a disposizione degli ospiti. Tra i servizi anche un discreto bar ed il ristorante, oltre al servizio di lavanderia (a pagamento)

Liked Pool dabei, klein und rund aber ausreichend um sich abzukühlen und für Kinder zum Spielen. Sehr gutes Restaurant, unter neuer Leitung und etwas teurer als früher, aber immernoch günstig und sehr lecker alles. Bar auf dem Platz mit Frühstücksangebot. Schöne Schattenstellplätze und sauber. Besitzer Recht freundlich und bemüht.

Disliked Leider sehr unruhig da man zu jederzeit einfahren kann. Wenn Feste außerhalb vom Platz sind gehen diese lautstark bis in die Morgenstunden und dann kommen die Gäste zurück zum Hotel auf dem Platz, angetrunken und wild durcheinander plappernd, keiner da vom Personal der dann für Ruhe sorgt Die Plätze werden bewässert ob die Campingsachen die dastehen nass werden oder nicht.... Unser gesamter Platz war nass, einschließlich Wäsche, Stühle... ect.
Sanitäranlagen werden nur einmal täglich am Mittag, gereinigt.... Bei über 50 Stellplätzen mit ca 6 Duschen und je 5 Toiletten pro Geschlecht, viel zu wenig und zu selten gereinigt... Toilettenpapier und Handtuchpapier daher häufig leer und Anlagen schmutzig... Schade

Liked Sehr schön gepflegt und sehr nettes Personal. Der Pool ist sehr schön erfrischend man kann sich sehr gut abkühlen. Das Restaurant ist wirklich sehr lecker und günstig.
Wir hatten eine sehr sehr nette Bedienung.

Disliked Leider sind die Sanitäranlagen veraltet und wurden in den 2 Nächten nur 1×gereinigt.
Das darf nicht sein für einen so schönen Campingplatz.

Liked L'accueil et le camping sont agréables. Très bien situé pour visiter la ville. Le bar et le restaurant sont situés dans un environnement magnifique. La piscine est juste incroyable. La tour panoramique est très sympa à faire la nuit.

Disliked Les emplacements sont petits mais très bien ombragé.

Liked Super schöner Campingplatz, toller Service. Selbst weit nach 24.00 Uhr konnten wir auf unseren Stellplatz, obwohl man bis 22.00 Uhr angekommen sein sollte, das haben wir in Deutschland noch nie erlebt!!! Ganz lieben Dank dafür. Man fühlt sich dort sicher und gut aufgehoben. Alle Mitarbeiter sind unfassbar nett und helfen wo es geht. Wir waren jetzt das 3. Mal hier und werden wiederkommen. Bleibt wie ihr seid....besser geht es nicht! Ganz liebe Grüße von uns.

Local attractions

You’ll have to start with a trip to Rozafa Castle, of course – up on top of a hill, it dominates the skyline on site and is sure to tempt you into a closer look. It’s a bit of a steep climb on the half-hour walk, but the views as you go up are spectacular, looking out over Shkodër and Lake Shkodër (and there’s a car park up towards the top for those that want to make the outing a little easier). After that it’s probably a stroll around Shkodër city centre (five minutes’ drive), taking in the historic architecture, visiting museums like the Site of Witness and Memory and Shkodër History Museum and stopping off in cafés and restaurants. If you’ve got a little more time, head out into the countryside – perhaps for a swim, a boat trip or some birdwatching at Lake Shkodër (10 minutes) or a visit to the Ottoman-era Mesi Bridge (20 minutes). There are lots of nice cycling trails through local villages and along the riverside as well, and hikes in Theth National Park (an hour and a half).
