What customers say
Friendly, affordable spot with a great pub and super-helpful hosts. Good-sized, quiet pitches, though some road noise. Cozy vibes, but washrooms need an update (owner's aware). Handy for sightseeing.

Generally a nice campsite with, good facilities. Not for families
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked This has the potential of being a really lovely place.
Disliked We stayed 2 nights and left at 1am to come home. I went as a single parent with my two children and we were woken to our immediate neighbours loudly having intercourse.
So much so my son (14) shouted at them to stop as they woke his little sister (9)
They didn’t, so we decided to pack up and leave. Another camper came over to check we were okay and I just said we are staying calm and just leaving. She tried to get the people who own the campsite to help as they were still going and talking through what they were doing as me and my children are trying to pack away.
The owner watched us pack away and didn’t actually come to see if me or my children were okay and it’s really disappointing.

Nice one night stop over.
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked When we went in the bar, Martin was brilliant. He was very welcoming and helped us out food wise (as the kitchen was closed). We also found he’d spent some time in our home town of Nottingham, so got on like a house on fire.
Pitch was a great size and away from the main road (so had a very peaceful sleep).
Disliked The disappointment of the kitchen being closed (despite the confirmation that it was open). Granted the food situation was soon rectified and we had a fab stay.
The shower and toilet block could do with a bit of TLC, so more of a backpackers feel, other than that no real negatives to speak of.
