  • Quiet, spacious site on a hill above the village of Kilgetty
  • Fabulous views over the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park
  • Set on 10 acres of mature and well-kept grounds
Surrounded by the gorgeous green countryside of west Wales, Ryelands Holiday Park is a splendid spot for a peaceful Pembrokeshire retreat. From this hilltop position above the village of Kilgetty, you’ll have fabulous views over the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park – and of one of its main attractions too. Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo is less than half a mile away, and you’ll be able to see it from the campsite to ramp up the excitement ahead of your visit. That’s not the only attraction that’s easy to get to from this handy base – places like Manor Wildlife Park, Wild Lakes Wales and the award-winning Heatherton World of Activities are all about 10 minutes’ drive away. For beach days, the ever-popular towns of Tenby and Saundersfoot are just a few miles away too. Set within 10 acres of mature, well-maintained grounds, there’s plenty of space at Ryelands Holiday Park to relax and unwind or enjoy a kickabout. A small play area is also available for the little ones. The on-site amenities block has been completely refurbished and upgraded for the 2025 season following visitor feedback, with high-quality toilets, hot showers and washing facilities, all cleaned daily. Firepits and wood are also available for those who want to enjoy a cosy evening outdoors under the stars. For essentials or a quick bite, Kilgetty village is only half a mile away with takeaways, a fish and chip shop, a cosy pub, a well-stocked supermarket and a post office. The village is also home to an award-winning restaurant with a butcher and fishmonger inside (something tasty for your barbecue, perhaps?). The village also has train and bus links to help you explore the stunning Pembrokeshire coastline and countryside easily.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked This trip was our 5th year at Ryelands and as always it did not disappoint. The toilet/shower block have had a welcome update, plenty of space on the camping field even though we were told the field was at capacity this weekend.
The location is perfect for visits to Folly Farm, Saundersfoot and Tenby.
Anna was hugely welcoming and we paid £10 for a late check out which saved us rushing on Monday morning.

Disliked Nothing!!

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Just came home from our annual trip to Ryelands, had another fantastic trip and was great to see that the bathrooms have had a little renovation, much nicer! Anna was absolutely lovely and so accommodating to all our needs and it was lovely to have someone popping around the site if you needed anything! She was always more than happy to help! We lucked right out with the weather this year so the great location meant we could pop to both Saundersfoot beach and Folly farm, both of which are just a few mins drive! We are already excited for next year!! The kids loved the freedom of the site which is nice and safe and loved the little park too!
The site is perfect for all ages, the facilities are lovely and clean but do reflect the price paid, so don’t go with 5* expectations when you pay what you pay! It’s a great site and we love it!!

Powered grass campsite

Liked We really liked this campsite as it's very close to Saundersfoot and Tenby, also the toilets/showers are very clean I would say the cleanest toilets I've come across camping. We came in 2023 and enjoyed it we decided to come back in 2025, we also booked and paid for an extra day.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Everything about our stay was perfect! Anna was lovely and very helpful. There was disposable bbq’s and fire pits available to purchase which was handy! The site, showers and toilets were spotless. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we decided to extend our stay. Tenby town was just under a 20 minute drive but there was loads within a miles distance from the site if you didn’t want to drive out such as a park, shops, restaurants and takeaways! Amazing experience i definitely recommend!

Primitive grass campsite

Liked We had a great time and met such lovely people. The toilet and shower facilities are kept clean and perfectly adequate.

The warden was super friendly and we felt very cared for.

Disliked Quite windy at the top of the hill so you might want to camp lower down in the field.

Local attractions

Just behind the site’s field is access to the Miners’ Walk of south Pembrokeshire, the circular trail to and from Kilgetty that winds past old industrial sites of the area. Leave Ryelands Holiday Park and stroll downhill through woodland for 40 minutes or so to join the famed Pembrokeshire Coast Path at the Wisemans Bridge pub – obviously with a stop-off first for a supper at the inn garden and its smashing views over Carmarthen Bay… Indoor and outdoor attractions and activities of all flavours are within a five-mile radius of the site, such as family days out at Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo (five minutes’ drive) and the Blue Lagoon Water Park (10 minutes). The sands and sea of handsome seaside town Saundersfoot are 10 minutes’ drive away too. Slightly further afield are more family days at Heatherton World of Activities (15 minutes), and the beaches of Tenby (15 minutes) are along the coast.
