  • Peaceful back to basics site on the edge of a Pembrokeshire village
  • A 10-minute drive from Saundersfoot and 15 minutes from Tenby
  • Frill-free outdoor stays in a wild Welsh meadow; half a mile to a pub
Jeffreyston Field is a small-scale site in a secluded location on the edge of the peaceful Pembrokeshire village of Jeffreyston. This back to basics spot has no facilities, but it's a mere 10-minute drive from the beach and just shy of half a mile from the nearest pub. This peaceful meadow is surrounded by high hedges and has pretty much been left wild. The grass here is long and interspersed with wild plants, and there's a small patch of moorland in the middle of the site. Numbers are deliberately kept low here to minimise guests’ impact on this wildlife haven. Campfires and barbecues are allowed here. You'll need to be fully self-sufficient when staying at Jeffreyston Field, so you'll definitely want to bag a few supplies at the supermarket in nearby Kilgetty (five minutes' drive) or at one of the several well-stocked food shops in Saundersfoot (10 minutes). Dogs are welcome here, but please make sure to keep them on their best behaviour. The wide open spaces and splendid seaside views of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park are a few minutes' drive away to the east, west and south of Jeffreyston Field; the northernmost part of the park is roughly half an hour away.

Primitive grass campervan campsite

Liked: Port a loo was very clean

Walking distance to a local pub which serves very nice food has a pool table and the staff are very friendly

10-15 min drive to the beach and for £15 a night you can’t moan

Disliked: dislike is that there is no shower block but if you have a solar shower or a shower in your van this pitch is ideal

The entrance to the site could be have more signs for the entrance and the entrance being improved

Booked the site and did not have to check in or see the owner

Primitive grass campervan campsite

Liked: Big, spacious, the shade from the sun in this heat 🥵. Clean facilities (portaloo). Drinking water provided. Quiet and peaceful. Better than wild camping as you don’t have to worry about being moved on in the middle of the night 😊.

Disliked: Grass is a little long but would make some excellent extra bedding if you’re in a tent!

Entrance would be a little snug if you’re in a bigger campervan/motorhome.
