General

  • Family-friendly wild-style camping with mountain views
  • A 10-minute drive from the Pembrokeshire coast; St Davids 25 minutes
  • Low light pollution for stargazing on site; dogs on leads welcome

Tower Hill Campsite is a peaceful retreat close to the gorgeous sandy beaches of the Pembrokeshire coast. This family-friendly site is all about relaxing surrounded by nature and spending time in the open air, and it's close to all sorts of family attractions including Folly Farm and several surf beaches.

The site is in a rural location with a full view of its nearest mountain and a backdrop of the Preseli Hills, roughly 10 minutes' drive from Haverfordwest and its amenities (including supermarkets, restaurants and a railway station). The coast is roughly 10 minutes in the opposite direction, where you stand a good chance of seeing porpoises, dolphins, seals and puffins when exploring the area.

The site is also something of a wildlife haven, and you may catch sight of the foxes, badgers and otters that like to pass through the local area. There are very low levels of light pollution, meaning spectacular stargazing on cloudless nights (particularly during shooting star season in August). Noise pollution is very low too, and guests are asked to do their part to keep it this way by not playing any music during their stay.

For day to day living, the site provides water and a compost toilet. Firepits (raised off the ground) are permitted, and firewood is usually available to buy from the site owners. Dogs are allowed too, but please make sure to keep them on leads at all times and remember to clear up after them.

The field was on a bit of a slope in some parts but we managed ok some parts were flat. We did not know that there was a place to shower and toilet in the caravan until it was time to go. There are plans to develop this aspect soon. It was a nice and quiet stay which was just right for us.

Myself and my partner had an amazing time at Tower Hill campsite. The owner was so lovely and friendly. She gave us lots of good tips about the area. She also helped us out with tent pegs when we had a problem with our tent. She was very accommodating! It is incredibly quiet, you can see the stars and in the next field there are beautiful horses. It was a wonderful stay - thank you!

Glad you enjoyed your stay . The weather in. August was kind .. and great fun in the sun :)
Thank you for the lovely review ..

Just to add we do have recycling bags for glass, plastic ( recyclable) and paper and card board ., may be you didn’t see them ..

We have a policy of no trace ( wild camping ) and general rubbish is to be taken home .. so actually for guests convenience we do have recycling bags by the facilities at the top of the field but just don’t take any other general waste .. :)
