Peaceful family-run site in Carmarthenshire with big skies and beautiful views If you’re looking for space to breathe, stunning views, and a truly laid-back escape, you’ll find it here at our family-run campsite just outside Kidwelly (what3words: petion.gliders.innovator). Set in a spacious grassy field with extra-large pitches, our site is all about peace and quiet. There’s running water, a compost toilet, and a chemical disposal point — just the essentials so you can enjoy the simplicity of the great outdoors. From your pitch, soak up wide open skies, watch the sunset, or explore the surrounding countryside. The Wales Coastal Path and local beaches are a short drive away, with charming Carmarthenshire towns, castles, and cosy pubs nearby. Our site is peaceful and and offers spacious pitches. It is more suited for wild camping or to be off grid

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite

Liked great campsite, quiet and relaxing for a few nights away, stunning views across the countryside. owner was very accommodating and friendly, facilities were basic as expected but kept hygienic and clean. only 5 minutes down the road to a nice village with a supermarket, pub, coffee shop, fish and chip bar which is very convenient. 10/10 thank you!!

Primitive grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Absolutely pitch perfect!

The site owner was friendly and available to contact by phone if necessary. The facilities - one compost toilet, cold shower and washing up sink - whilst basic (which was expected) were clean and well maintained. The pitches are huge and pretty level. The view was amazing, the peace and tranquility were just what I needed for a few days.

Just 20 minutes away, Pembrey Country Park is a treasure trove of activities. It’s the gateway to Cefn Sidan beach, an eight-mile stretch of pristine golden sand perfect for relaxing, building sandcastles, or a leisurely walk. Its cinematic fame as a filming location for "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" adds an extra layer of interest. Llansteffan Castle, about 35 minutes away, is another must-see. You can even take a ferry from Ferryside to get there, but be sure to check the tide schedule and book in advance. There's also Laugharne around 30 mins away best known for its wonderful castle overlooking the water and its connection to poet Dylan Thomas.
