What customers say
This small, family-run campsite provides a tranquil getaway with lovely country views. Guests rave about the super friendly, helpful owners, especially Linda for her great local tips. The facilities, including the new shower block, are often called excellent, clean, and well-equipped. Kids love the games room and outdoor play areas. Despite some older facilities needing a refresh, upgrades are planned, making this a top recommendation for a chill stay.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Fantastic site with a warm welcome.
Low carbon tariff for arrival by bike and also excellent kitchen facilities with kettle and fridge.
Toilets and showers were excellent and clean, including having chairs and hooks in the shower cubicle.
We were given 2 folding chairs to sit on, and when we stayed again on our way back from the southwest our chairs were already set up on the pitch.
Dry undercover area to store our bikes which was also useful when we had to pack up in the rain.
Pitches were well spaced and very comfortable with excellent views.
Would definitely visit again if we’re in the area and wholeheartedly recommend the site
Disliked Nothing (other than the hill we had to cycle up to get there!)

Liked Linda was a fab host, very welcoming, funny and knowledgable. Nice side-on pitch with plenty of space. Lovely views, and the the shower block was possibly the nicest one we have ever used. Good mobile/tv signal, chem disposal, fresh water, campfires and BBQ allowed. Uber Eats delivers from the local co-op if you forget anything like we did. Very nice small, quiet site, that ticked all the boxes for a relaxing weekend. I can see me going again this year, even just to work from as a change of scenery. Highly receommended.

Liked A super friendly and environmentally conscious campsite. I was cycle touring and nothing was too much trouble for Linda. Great wash facilities and some lovely communal outdoor/covered areas. Great in inclement weather and beautiful the rest of the time too!
Disliked The last 100 metres cycling up the hill to the entrance! But worth the push.
