What customers say
Praised for peaceful location near Laugharne & beaches, with friendly hosts. Pitches large & level. Facilities clean & functional, some note warm water. On-site bar/food a bonus. However, some reviews note hygiene/maintenance issues in washrooms, unkempt appearance & misleading ads.

Liked We were greeted by a lady on our arrival who directed us to our pitch.
The showers were a good temperature.
Level pitch.
When I approached the lady who directed us to our pitch regarding the lack of toilet paper she offered me one of her own toilet rolls! Thankyou.
Disliked We found the washing facilities were unhygienic with smelly drains and dirty floors. The toilets ran out of toilet paper and the floors were dirty. The site at the time of our stay was not busy.
It was misleading about the food/bar opening. It was closed.
Generally this site needs some improvement and TLC and regular cleaning in order to warrant the fee charged per night.

Clean site in an excellent location.

Liked The location was perfect and we really liked the fact it was a small campsite. Facilities were basic but suited us and having a small bar/ food hut on the evening was an added bonus. We liked the informal nature of the site, staff allowing us to pitch up anywhere of our choosing. Although the site doesn’t have anything for children to do, they can bike around the site & there are 2 beaches within 5 minutes.

Avoid the worst site we visited during a weeks of travelling in wales.

Liked It was quiet
Disliked Our experience was significantly below acceptable standards and fell short of both the advertised facilities and basic expectations for health, safety, and cleanliness.
Upon arrival, there was no signage indicating the entrance, and we were greeted by someone whose role was unclear — no introduction, no clear reception point, and no explanation about facilities. We were merely told, “All the pitches are the same,” despite several being unoccupied.
Our key concerns are as follows:
⸻
1. Serious Hygiene Issues (See Photos 1, 6 & 7)
• The outdoor washing-up area was contaminated with what appeared to be bird droppings, food debris, and other unsanitary material. This area was clearly neglected and presents a serious health hazard.
• The indoor washrooms were poorly maintained, with visible mould, dead insects, grime in sinks, and an overpowering musty smell. This makes basic hygiene difficult for guests.
⸻
2. Safety Hazards (See Photos 2, 3 & 4)
• Loose and broken timber posts and signage were scattered near the decking area — some with protruding nails, creating an obvious risk of injury.
• A stray metal threaded rod was found in the grass near public walkways — a serious hazard, especially for children or pets.
⸻
3. Misleading Facilities Advertising
• A key reason we chose your site was the advertised clubhouse and food provision. Both were closed throughout our stay with no prior notice or signage — disappointing and misleading.
⸻
4. Grounds Maintenance (See Photo 5)
• The surrounding areas of the utility block were unkempt and overgrown, with weeds through paving and minimal upkeep, reinforcing the sense of neglect across the site.
⸻
We understand that campsites can offer a rustic charm, but this fell well below a basic duty of care to your guests. Cleanliness, safety, and truthful advertising are minimum expectations.

From the manager: Well you were busy on your one day visit to my campsite, you seem to have spent the whole time in finding faults and reviewing what you thought was needed to be done, as for the birds we are a member of the RSPB and we are fully aware that we have 2 birds nests in our washing up facility, these are our pride and joy as of now they have hatched and the spreader we have of watching them take flight but no doubt you don’t like such with as nature, so sorry about the birds, as for hygiene you are going behind visitors and not all visitors will leave the facilities in the condition they found it and obviously the standard that you have is way above you being on a campsite, as for the timber round our pub you had no reasons to be in that area as that area is out of bounds, I apologise for the person that greeted you as you should of been made aware that the bar and kitchen would have been opened if you had requested food or drink, I do check on my arrival but on this day I was in hospital
Kind regards

Overall we had a good stay just some minor issues.
Powered grass RV campsite
Liked Friendly staff, small bar and food shack which is great and location of the campsite.
Disliked Shower block could do with some updating mainly the men’s. Some facilities very basic such as washing up area. Day two of staying we came back one afternoon after being out exploring to find someone else on our pitch and had to move to an alternative pitch. It wasn’t a massive deal, but it is a little bit unusual as pitches are normally allocated to you for the duration of the stay.

From the manager: Thank you for your comment, i remember saying to you that leaving a item to say the pitch is occupied is advisable as you will on some occasions find people do try to move around park not caring at all of the disruption they may be causing, as for your further comments it is on the list to upgrade wash up area but obviously not quick enough for some

Liked Level grass pitches all the hook ups.. Clean functional toilets, quiet location...
Disliked Only 2 toilets and showers (2 male 2 female) which was okay on our visit however there are about 35 pitches so these would struggle if the site was full..

Not recommend - Site bad for your brand

Liked A peaceful location situated near a Laugharne
Disliked Overall the campsite facilities ( toilets & showers were badly maintained if at all.The site was very uneven, on a slope , fortunately there was no rain as this would have caused problems with access and leaving the site. There seemed to be an abundance of electrical hooks which would have caused serious problems with the WC / showers if the site had more than ourselves on it.Overall the facilities were dirty shoddy. The camping is overpriced Essentially the site needs a thorough overhaul before being re listed.

From the manager: Thank you Mr Salmon for your comments, as you are expecting such a high standard of siting your camper van i would maybe in the future choose a site that has hard standing and maybe a pitch just for yourself, i find your comments to be very rude indeed, like many other sites we have been up against the weather and for you to assume about the sites electricity supply i can only assume you to not have enough going on in your life, just maybe to complain
