What customers say
This small, quiet, well-kept site gets props for clean washrooms, roomy spots, and friendly owners. Great location for walks and shops. Basic facilities are fine for most, though some wanted better hot water for dishes and stronger shower pressure. Dog owners loved the exercise area. Many highly recommend it and plan to return.

Perfect spot to walk round the lake.
Powered grass and gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Nice small site, level pitches with plenty of grass for dogs to enjoy, very peaceful. There's a path from the site through the wood directly to the lake which is about an hour's walk round if you go via the old railway line. It's signed on the site and it's a great walk, we had company of lots of low flying jets on our morning walk. Showers were nice and warm, all the facilities you need are on the site.
We weren't allocated a pitch so just parked up when we arrived.

Thankful to find somewhere to stay. Won’t be going back there.
Powered grass and gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked We needed somewhere to stay at short notice because our sailing to Dublin was cancelled because of storm Claudia. We were able to book the site.
Disliked No signage to say where to book in. Found a door with a worn out message saying phone this number we are always here. Phoned to say we’d arrived and asked where to park and ask where were the showers and toilets. Told over the phone how to find toilets and to park anywhere. Toilets and showers very basic.

Great little site.
Powered grass and gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked Lovely little campsite. It has everything I needed for my stay. I was due to stay 4 nights but left after 2. This was because the weather was bad not because of the site. The owner was very helpful with entry details. Would go back again

Disliked Messaged to ask for 2 pitches next to each other and was told this would not be a problem. On arrival this was not available and could not get hold of anyone from site ! Very disappointed.

Powered grass and gravel travel trailer campsite
Liked End of October so very quiet. Only small but well kept level pitches with plenty of space. Easily accessible, not far from the A55/A5. Direct access to the reservoir if you'd like a walk.
Disliked Dislike is a strong word, but it would have been nice if the bathrooms had heat/ventilation which might help keep things a bit drier.
