What customers say
Adults-only site praised for peaceful vibes, clean/basic amenities, and friendly staff. Great spot for exploring North Wales' Snowdonia, Anglesey, Bangor, Caernarfon. Pitches are level, roomy, well-kept. Some note few toilets/showers, need more dishwashing spots.

Lovely little campsite in great location
FHU grass RV campsite
Liked I spent 5 nights here ans really enjoyed my stay. It is in great location - 10 minutes drive to Caernarfon, 20 minutes to Llanberis. Sherpa S3 bus stop is 3 minutes walk from campsite - to Rhyd- Ddu it's 40 minutes ride, an hour to Beddgelert, it also goes to Dinorwig Quarry.
Site was very peaceful during night.
Owners were lovely and very approachable. My pitch was level enough to not need ramps.
Facilities are basic, but were kept clean during my stay. Showers were free which was a lovely surprise!
I hope I will be able to come back and stay here in the future!
Disliked These are not dislikes as such, more of observations or feedback for the owners.
When I see fully serviced pitch I expect EHU and at least drinking water tap at my pitch - this is not the case here (maybe my expectations are too high?). There are I think 2 water taps in the field and as mentioned in one of previous reviews as pitches aren't marked out, if someone puts their tent or motorhome in front of the tap it is very akward situation of invading someone else's space to get drinking water. Maybe somehow marking out/ excluding spaces around these taps would be a good idea? (if marking out pitches is not an option)
For me personally the biggest downside was lack of hot water for washing up (however still not bad enough to put me off form coming back in the future) and the fact, that it's just outdoor sink and tap, with no roof/ shelter from the elements. I had a wonderful weather, so it was fine, but couldhave been much more miserable if it was raining.

‘Does what it says on the tin’.
FHU grass RV campsite
Liked Exactly as it says on the tin. Small, adult only campsite, perfectly located to explore North Wales. We used it as our base to travel to various castles and walks nearby, all within an hours drive. Owners were pleasant on interaction. Lovely quiet location.
Disliked Could do with marking out pitch area, or placing numbers down. One tent next to us was unhappy that we had parked and pitched up so close to them, meaning they had to move. They were not happy. To be fair, we went where the owner told us, it was just unfortunate the other tent was straddling what seems to be two pitches (unmarked) right in front of the electric socket. Another tent across the way was right up against the water tap, making me feel rude to invade their space just to get some water.

Liked Friendly owners at the camp, easy to get setup and facilities were good. The location is quite good as just nestled between snowdonia and anglesey so easy to visit either place. Was nice to have the horses and other animals on the plot.
