  • Secluded camping with easy access to the A55 and close to Menai Bridge
  • Just a 20-minute drive to both Zip World Penrhyn Quarry and Snowdonia
  • Back-to-basics field site; supermarket and pub in five minutes’ drive
With a very posh setting in the grounds of stately Treborth Hall near Bangor in Gwynedd, the Coed Menai Camping field is surrounded by woodland. If you’re after a quiet camping break within easy reach of the North Wales coast and Snowdonia National Park, this may well be the spot for you – and it’s easy to access, being within 10 minutes’ drive of the A55. Spacious grass pitches are backed by mature trees, and although there is a no-frills vibe about the place, you will find a toilet block with washing-up sinks on site, so you'll have access to running water. A shower and bath are also available for an additional cost. Coed Menai Camping is away from busy roads, just over a mile from the small village of Menai Bridge on Anglesey, where multiple pubs are open for food and drinks throughout the week. There is also a garden centre and café five minutes away on foot. For anything else, you can reach the larger towns of Bangor and Caernarfon by road in less than 15 minutes – both have plenty of shops, supermarkets and restaurants as well as historic buildings, great seascapes and top visitor attractions.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked: Quiet area but near to different attractions. 20 minutes walk to Menai Bridge and local pub.
James, the site keeper, was very helpful and made the stay easier by providing a fridge and freezer for everyone to use.

Disliked: No hot water for washing or washing-up. Toilets and washing facilities were basic and not segregated. Hot showers available in separate area for extra cost.
