  • Small quiet Flintshire farm site a mile from Northop
  • Chester, Talacre beach and Moel Famau within a half-hour drive
  • Meet the site's alpacas and buy fresh eggs from the free-range hens
If you prefer the personal vibe of a small family-run site rather than a lively holiday park, you’ll be in your element at The Little Bitty Farm and Campsite. There’s only a small number of pitches at this Flintshire farm site – although you will have to share the place with the resident alpacas and the flock of around 40 free-range hens, plus an assortment of local wildlife (rabbits, ducks and the odd red kite among them). This is a place that's all about peaceful rural stays, with quiet hours and dark skies initiatives in place to ensure all guests can relax and enjoy these lovely surroundings. It’s set on a quiet lane, so you won't be bothered by traffic – but the main road is just a few minutes’ walk away, where you can hail a bus or walk the mile to the nearest village, Northop (which has a handy shop as well as three pubs serving food). Despite the serene rural atmosphere, this is a handy location indeed for getting out to explore the area. The towns Mold and Flint are both within an easy 10-minute drive, and the A55 North Wales Expressway is less than a mile away for journeys further afield. Within half an hour's drive you could be visiting castles, walking up the area's highest hill, hitting the beach, ambling through the forest or touring the historic streets of Chester. Back on site you'll have access to simple facilities including toilets, showers and a chemical disposal point, and you’ll be able to say hello to any friendly locals that drop by to tend their allotments next door. There are usually eggs for sale from the farm's hens.

Liked A Fantastic Family Escape – Everything Thought Of!

We had the most amazing time at The Little Bitty Farm and Campsite! I stayed with my two daughters and from the moment we arrived, everything was just perfect. It was such a fantastic feeling to pull up and find the tents already set up and ready to go — so spacious, cozy, and stocked with everything we could possibly need. It made the whole experience stress-free and relaxing from the very start.

The campsite is incredibly clean, peaceful, and truly family-friendly. My daughters absolutely loved feeding the chickens each morning — such a fun and memorable experience that made them feel part of the farm.

Every detail has clearly been thought through with care. The owners have created such a warm and welcoming place that lets you enjoy the simple things in life.

We left with big smiles and already can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and genuinely joyful camping experience with kids!

From the manager: Thanks Chris, such heart warming and kind words, the pleasure was all ours; when our kids are grown up it brings us such joy to meet and spend time with other peoples like minded children; so well behaved and great to see the Dads doing this with their kids! loved having you all x

3 bedroom ready tent (six person, XL)

Liked I liked absolutely everything started with a warm welcome by Kelly and Darren. We used the pre pitched tent and just brought some food, bedding and ‘refreshments’. Fridge in tent very helpful but also have access to shared kitchen which has everything you need including complimentary fresh milk if you need a brew after traveling. Tent also included camping stove which we did use for authenticity 😂. Showers and toilets were cleaned throughout the stay. Very close to a lot of places, we went to Logerheads Country Park, 20 mins away for a walk which has various routes for all abilities.

Fantastic place!! I will be coming back!

Disliked Coming home.

Primitive cement/asphalt and grass trailer tent campsite

Liked A lovely campsite, friendly welcome from Kelly and Darren. Thoughtful site with great kitchen - including kettle and supplies, fridge freezer access. Our daughter especially loved the chickens and alpacas - fantastic memories made. It felt really safe and attracted a friendly crowd with it being a small site.

Primitive cement/asphalt and grass trailer tent campsite

Liked Great amenities. Thoughtfulness has gone into this camp site. Everything you need.
Well kept, clean, with a nice welcome.
Close to Mold which is a beautiful little town.

Disliked Our pitch was close to the lane which turned out to be a fast noisy road. We couldn't sleep.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Hi Angela so sorry to hear of your experience, I thought us upgrading your pitch would be a welcome gesture, its very difficult if people book an incorrect pitch, I have fed this back to pitch up as it may be they can better help people understand the difference in hard standing and tent pitches. We are sorry you felt a 7/10 overall was appropriate we had prided ourselves on a straight row of 10/10 reviews which is why this comes as a massive disappointment to us all. However, we are glad otherwise you enjoyed our free facilites and upgraded large grass pitch, its first time anyone has mentioned the lane, it only serves a few farms so apologies and if ever you want to come back we would happily ensure your allocated the right pitch and move you away from the road. In the meantime was lovely to meet you and again we are sorry to hear you had a poor night sleep x

Liked The Little Bitty Farm ❤️

Such a magical little place.

From the get go Kelly and Darren contacted us letting us know they were looking forward to us arriving. Kelly and Darren are wonderful people and I would return 100% to support them and there growing Farm / Business.

The farm itself is small and very personal which we loved, Kelly and Darren where amazing and went above and beyond for our little boy letting him feed the animals and help out he hasn’t shut up since we got home and letting us use the bbq.

The accommodation we stayed in the bell tent.. it was magically, we needed nothing just bedding and our food everything and more was already waiting which saved us lots of time and effort.

Lovely touch leaving us Tea coffee sugar and some added bonuses with the electric blanket and plenty of plug sockets for chargers ect.

The communal kitchen was well equipped and spotless in fact everywhere was spotless compared to the majority of campsites we have been to.

The chickens and alpaca’s where friendly and we loved there story it made
It more fulfilling being there..:

Oh and Mocha 🐶

I really hope people get behind Kelly and Darren and support them in there journey to make this an Aussie vibe campsite / retreat it’s would be absolutely amazing.

Such wonderful people deserve the best in life.

Myself and Jess wish you best of luck with the planning permission to make this a Permanent campsite not a pop up because so many people would love to experience it like we have.

We will be back till next time..

Primitive cement/asphalt and grass trailer tent campsite

Liked I appreciated the kindness and thoughtfulness of the owners Kelly and Darren very much indeed. It’s a lovely little site. There is a kitchen where campers are free to use the fridge / freezer or make cup of coffee etc. The site has toilets and showers and there are water stands available to pitches. I brought my own tent; though the site makes rather lovely tents available, so people can have the camping experience without the need to bring or pitch their own. The day I arrived, as I was about to pitch my tent, Darren came and helped me out - just one of the many kindnesses shown by both Kelly and Darren.
There is an attractive little pond which campers took advantage of in the atypical extremely hot weather. Freshly laid chicken eggs available every morning. There is lots to do and see locally and for those with electric cars there is a hotel nearby with a bank of chargers! What’s not to like!

Primitive grass tent campsite (large)

Liked This site is truly something special. A world away from the hustle and bustle, the hosts are lovely and so hard working. This place is a labour of love which shows in every detail. Loved the peaceful atmosphere, the quiet dark nights, and spending precious time with our kids. We loved the chatty little chickens that came to have a look at us. Feeding them was the highlight of the visit for the kids (and us!). We loved them! The alpacas are gorgeous, and left to their own devices, they came over to have a look at us too. One loved having a fuss and a rub. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

Disliked Absolutely nothing - though I felt obliged to frisk the kids after feeding the chickens! They would have smuggled one home given half a chance! They were completely smitten.

From the manager: Thankyou so much Stef, it was an absolute pleasure to meet you and the family and to share chicken stories.... remember you are welcome back and we will hopefully have you for a full weekend. Thanks for sharing the photos and your kind words x
