What customers say

This top-rated site boasts a welcoming, family vibe, great facilities, and pretty country views. Staff are super helpful, with a real community feel and fun animal interactions/play zones. Downsides: it's remote, needing a vehicle, and some spots have ground wasp nests.

Primitive grass tent campsite

Liked We have stayed here before and enjoyed the experience. The site is well kept, clean, tidy and offers friendly, welcoming staff. The site has two play areas for the children, two shower/ toilet areas, both are spotlessly clean, lovely warm showers, a little too hot for the children, a laundry room with washing machine, £4.50 and dryer £3. We were camping with family, site offers both electric hook up and non electric.
Ice cream van, fish and chip van visits the site. There are options for cooked food and tea and coffee. Well stocked, reasonably priced shop that offers local produce. Good recycling area. Games room for the older children, table tennis and pool room. Some weekends there are live bands and social occasions. Wi fi on this occasion was not brilliant but site was very busy.
Really, lovely, friendly, welcoming site. Information is very informative.

Disliked We prefer to camp and sometimes need electric for personal reasons. Would be great if there were more electric points for campers. Ground were there was very rocky in parts and very soft in other parts. Due to the very, very, windy weather the tent pegs needed to be constantly checked. Unfortunately, we cut our trip short due to the high winds.

Liked We loved how close the pitch was to the children’s play park and the toilet blocks were really close too! All of the staff were super friendly and chatty and the kids loved being able to feed the animals with the food bought from the shop. The takeaway breakfast was perfect (with the option to eat in or take away, and the food van on the Saturday night was brilliant quality food a big portions (fish and chip van) free WiFi but was very hit and miss with signal

Disliked The ice cream van - no prices in the window so we had a shock upon paying nearly £25 for 5 ice creams so be aware!
(Obviously nothing to do with the site)

Liked Lovely location, nice facilities.. great parks for the kids and nice walks! Some farm animals around which my boys enjoyed also!

Disliked Info about site said it was low noise after 10pm, no music etc.. which I am all for everyone having a great time as we did around our campfire of an evening but we had some not so considerate neighbours who partied until 2:30am.. loud music, bottles clinking and shouting. A little frustrating when you have young children. Kept us and the kids up both Friday and Saturday, and also my sister who camped next to us. Felt wrong to complain but with it being both nights we felt a little frustrated.
