What customers say

This well-kept, small site boasts stunning views and super clean, modern facilities. Friendly, helpful staff are a consistent highlight. Pitches are spacious and often fully serviced. While access roads are steep and narrow, challenging larger vehicles, the peaceful location and proximity to Llandudno and Conwy are definite pluses. Wi-Fi and dishwashing sinks could be improved.

FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked First time here and we were on Pitch 1. Right next to facilities which were absolutely immaculate. Only a small site but so peaceful there we loved it. We might come back next year without the Caravan and book a Glamping Pod. They looked Amazing !!!

Disliked Nothing. Just Perfect.

FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked The views were outstanding,
Small site
Lovely shower and toilet facilities
Large pitches

Disliked There was a lot of noise Due to building works nearby,
It was difficult once on-site to get anywhere without a taxi
No laundry facilities and only a couple of toilets , showers, which was fine until
The field behind was used for tents and caravans

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for the wonderful comments, so pleased you enjoyed the site . Apologies for any noise due to a patio being laid a short distance from the site! Best wishes Jenny & the team

FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked Stunning views, exceptionally clean facilities, friendly staff and a small site so very private. Great activities and places to visit within the local area. Couldn’t ask for more.

Disliked Despite the documented steep, narrow lane for the last mile, it’s really worth it!

From the manager: Thank you, amazing review, we are truly blessed to have such a wonderful site and amazing scenery ! So pleased you thoroughly enjoyed, and so close to town and all the amenities !Best wishes Jenny & the team

Primitive grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Location was lovely; easy access to LLandudno, Conwy and surrounding area. Peaceful site. Great washroom; clean and modern. Cut grass on pitch meant no wet feet and lots of space for each 'van. Will come again with family.

Disliked Slightly sloped pitch, but that's outside owners' control. Bring levelling ramps.

Primitive grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Gorgeous location. Quiet countryside with lovely views.
We stayed on the grass pitches across from the main campsite. Easy access to the toilets and showers. Really well maintained facilities, spotless clean.
Short cycle to nearby pub and shirt drive to Conwy beach. And lots of lovely walks around.

FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked We enjoyed the beautiful campsite, it is very well looked after, clean and has lots of flowers, well cut grass. It was peaceful and pleasant staff on site. Very nice facilities to use.

Disliked We were a little disappointed by the shower / toilet facilities - only one shower for men although bizarrely women could use both shower areas. The facilities looked lovely but simple practicalities hadn’t been thought of e.g. no mop in the shower area to remove excess water for the next user. Only one sink for washing pots. Very poor WiFi access.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Hello
Thank you for your lovely feedback! Just a quick note on the showers, we have accessible showers for disabilities, which is not specified as "Mens", apologies for any confusion. One sink as its a small site of 5 pitches , usually pretty quiet .
The wifi is fibre and usually exceptionally good, so not sure if there was an issue on that day, generally its excellent.

Hopefully we will see you again,
Best wishes Jenny & the team

FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked Facilities were excellent, very clean etc and appropriately marked as 5 Star. Pitch was excellent, fully serviced.

Disliked Location was excellent for car access but challenging for Motorhome. We got stuck in our motorhome when a local vehicle had parked inconsiderately in one of lanes requiring us to find the owner to move his vehicle (there was no way of reversing to turn around)

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for the wonderful review! Apologies someone had parked in the middle of the road, thankfully this does not generally happen. We do provide great directions for the best route to follow , hopefully stress free from inconsiderate drivers! Glad you had a lovely time here and this does not put you off coming back again.
Best wishes Jenny & the team

Local attractions

North Wales is an excellent part of the world to visit if you’re into the outdoors or natural scenery. Eryri National Park (15 minutes’ drive) has lots of hiking and biking trails, ranging from gentle strolls to more challenging uphill climbs. For those who like adrenaline activities, there are also underground adventures at Go Below Underground Adventures (30 minutes) and the chance to fly through the air on high-speed zipwires at Zip World Penrhyn Quarry (35 minutes). To move at a more leisurely pace, you may want to head to the North Wales coast instead. Take a peaceful walk along Llandudno's (10 minutes) Victorian pier or go for a ride on the historic cable car. The tram up the Great Orme also has excellent views. Conwy (10 minutes) also has one of the most well-preserved medieval castles in the country. Just a short drive from the A55, Tan Y Bryn Glamping is in a pretty prime location for venturing further afield too. Some splendid places to visit a little further out are Anglesey (45 minutes), Caernarfon (40 minutes), the seaside town of Rhyl (35 minutes) and the cathedral city of St Asaph (25 minutes).
