What customers say
A beautiful, peaceful, and unique campsite with roomy, well-arranged spots. Guests rave about the spotless, quality facilities, especially the shared kitchen. Friendly, helpful owners create a relaxed vibe. Kids love the playground and exploring nature, like the river. Despite minor notes on occasional busyness and shared facilities, most want to return.

Beautiful site. Well worth a visit.
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite (wild)
Liked Love this place. Such a beautiful site, wild flowers and long grass inbetween pitches. Peace and quiet all around with just bird song for company. Great communal kitchen with fridge and freezer.
Disliked Prefer single sex or single toilets but this has not stopped us visiting.

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite (wild)
Liked Lovey, spacious site in quiet setting. Friendly, helpful owners. Facilities clean but can imagine queues for toilets/showers during very busy periods.
Great indoor 'kitchen' area with plenty of space for groups and families to eat but limited sinks for washing up.

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite (wild)
Liked Choice of fields to pitch up in, the one we went for was mowed in a way that each pitch is mowed but the rest left longer which is really nice. Lovely clean facilities, hot showers, nice kitchen area. Really loved this site!

Loved it
Primitive grass tent or RV campsite (wild)
Liked We love this place! We stayed for 1 night in 2023 as a stop over to break up a long journey but had it saved as somewhere we needed to get back to. Very peaceful, nice views, friendly owners. We did the walk up Rodney’s pillar which you can see from the campsite and that was fab, would recommend.
Clean proper flushing toilets and warm showers.
Kitchen area with lots of bits to use (hob, kettle, all utensils) we only used it for washing up but I imagine it’ll be handy for those who need the extra facilities.
Disliked Not necessarily a dislike but a heads up if people have dogs/kids who are reactive to the sound of helicopters as there’s lots going back and forth the bases nearby
