Combining rural hideaway with a touch of luxury, Wern Meadow Glamping is on a family-run working hill farm set among gorgeous Mid Wales countryside 15 minutes’ drive from Llandrindod Wells. Family-friendly accommodation is in spacious bell tents sleeping up to six guests, attractively laid out with cheery rugs and bed linen in a mix of double beds and futons, a woodburning stove and bedside storage. Basics like mugs and a kettle are also supplied. Outside, each tent has its own private decking with a picnic bench, parasol and barbecue (one free bag of wood is provided), all the better for soaking up the peaceful rural views. Private showers and loos are set in wooden huts a little way from each tent; as the pitches are off-grid, do remember to pack torches for moving around after dark. Once settled in, you can meet the resident pygmy goats and Shetland ponies (and perhaps their young too). Do also keep a lookout for bats, rabbits, hares, hedgehogs and the occasional fox or badger when you’re on site – they all thrive in the surrounding centuries-old broadleaf woodland – and be prepared to wake up to a very lively dawn chorus indeed…

Liked Beautiful location and the tent was lovely. It had everything you need from the wood for the fire, utensils, plates etc.
The bed was comfortable and the children loved the camping experience with lots of room to play outside.

Disliked I found the ad a little misleading. It states “ Private showers and loos are set in wooden huts a little way from each tent”. To me this suggests one per tent. In reality it is one toilet and one shower shared by the two tents. It does mention shared facilities elsewhere is the ad but I think it would be easily misconstrued.

Liked Nice and lovely place to escape from city life! Everything was prepared for our convenience — dishes, bedding, charcoal, and firewood. We were pleasantly surprised. Highly recommended!

Liked The peacefulness, animals, serenity

Disliked Not really a dislike, and the site is new so owner has more solid plans for the future (which is great) and hot water was not advertised as a thing on the campsite but it could definitely benefit from it in the washing up area in the future.
