Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked I was only here for one night for a stop over before a days hiking so I didn't really have chance to fully enjoy the site but I instantly knew I would want to come back another time and stay for longer. I had such a warm welcome on arrival and I loved the secluded pitches behind the ferns, it made it feel really cosy. Lovely touches around the campsite like the beautiful artwork in the loos. The location is perfect for hikes and pubs for food etc and great value for money - I was not expecting such a lovely campsite for what you pay per night. will definitely be coming back!

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Such a lovely, unspoiled camping field. Very friendly owners and lovely views.
We loved the spacious pitches surrounded by ferns and the ready made camp fire area.
I didn’t dislike anything but composting loos and cold showers aren’t for everyone!

Beautiful, well-thought-out campsite that I’d happily recommend.
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked I really enjoyed my stay at Camp Crick. The idea of designated private areas for each pitch is fantastic — it gives a wonderful sense of peace and privacy that’s rare to find. I also loved the fire pits at each pitch, such a great idea that makes evenings really special.
Overall though, it’s a beautiful, well-thought-out campsite that I’d happily recommend to anyone looking for tranquility, privacy, and a touch of charm.
Disliked The only area for improvement, in my view, is communication, which I found less satisfying compared to the rest of the experience.

Enjoyed every minute
Primitive grass and earth campervan campsite
Liked The view is outstanding, the campsite is off grid and spacious but well equipped with camp fires at every pitch, logs available for purchase, several unearthed toilets, a cold water shower and solar powered charger. Crickhowell is fabulous to explore along with the canal, the mountain treks and the amazing redwood tress. The Llewellyn family are very friendly and helpful without invading your peace and quiet. Would definitely recommend.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Friendly, welcoming atmosphere. A lot of space between pitches. Amazing views of the Black Mountains. 15 mins walk into Crickhowell and swimming at the bridge : ) Solar phone charging. Open fires in the evening. Waking to birdsong. Very creative spring fed showers and compost loos!
Disliked Can't fault it if you want a back to basics camping experience (who needs hook ups?!)
