Lovely stay but needs more loos.
Powered cement/asphalt and grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Great location for walks to Pen y Fan, Fan y big etc, Brecon the Usk and canal. You can access quiet lanes directly to the south of the site via a footbridge over the stream, which was lovely for a dip in hot weather.
Owners are very friendly and make regular patrols of the site to check that all is well.
Easy to drive to with the caravan - no narrow lanes.
Site was very quiet every night by 11.00 despite being full and we always slept well.
Excellent free Wi-Fi.
Despite the niggles below, the site was very good value.
Disliked There aren’t enough loos to cope with a full site and myself and other campers were having to queue in the morning. It would probably be OK when the site is not full.
Pitches are not numbered or well defined. We came back from a day out and a family had pitched a caravan, tent and car with roof tent on the pitch next to us - so close that we couldn’t open our window! We politely asked them if they could move the closest unit which thankfully they did, but it would be better if there was more organisation in my view.
There is no grey or black waste point in the caravan field - the only place we could find was the camping field so it was a bit more of a trek than usual. The black waste disposal drain was neat but there was no hose available to rinse it down - just a tap a couple of meters away. The tap in the touring field is high off the ground and had no hose attached so do bring your own if you want to fill a large water container or aqua roll.
The touring field would benefit from having the small central grass area free for kids to play, rather than having extra units and cars squeezed on.
Sorry for all the minor gripes - we had a lovely stay but these are little things that could be improved.

Would stay here again if ever back in that part of the country
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Close to town, the owners were brilliant they came round to make sure everything was okay, they delivered firewood to your tent, they even sorted out our and others campers complaints about noisy neighbours at 3am in the morning, there’s a nice little river at the bottom of the field you can go in. Facilities were kept clean and the water was always warm they even provided water scrapers for the bathroom floors (that people should use after they have used the showers) to keep it dry for the next person. Lots of beautiful scenery near by.
Disliked Multiple people can’t use the toilet / shower block at the same time if your planning to shower there’s no water pressure and your stuck waiting for someone to finish using there tap so you can use your shower

Liked Walk into Brecon
Disliked Demand for facilities far outweighed availability. More frequent cleaning and servicing needed for this busy period

A great spot to explore the area and close to Brecon for everything.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Location; walking distance to Brecon town and Pen Y Fan. Gorgeous stream with access for a cold dip in the pools. Clean facilities and friendly owners. My children loved the farm animals and hearing the donkeys every day really put a smile on our faces. Fire pits also allowed which is nice.
Disliked Nothing.

Liked Lovely site beside a stream with excellent to walks on quiet small roads or footpaths- you can walk to Pen y fan directly from the site Brecon centre is 50 minutes walk away

Liked We have just come back from spending a lovely 10 days at Rhdywernen Farm.
The couple who run the park are very helpful ,they cannot do enough for you and also stop for a chat when they see you. They check on all the campers a couple of times a day to make sure everything is okay.
The toilets and showers are spotless and lovely and warm as they have heated towel rails installed.
The farm itself is great. It is a working farm so there is always something happening and you are able to visit all the animals to make a fuss of them.
It is situated in very picturesque countryside and there is an accesible river running around the camping fields and just a 40 minute walk through country lanes is the town of Brecon which is lovely.
Available for use is a fridge, freezer, microwave and kettle;the electric points are also useful for charging mobile phones!
We would highly recommend this site to everyone wishing to camp in South Wales

Liked Location, great access and only a short drive from Brecon. It was an ideal base for our hike up Pen y Fan and around the 4 waterfalls. Clean site, not too big with great showers. I liked the fridge that was available in the washing up block. Staff were very helpful when I needed it.
