What customers say
A simple, "wild camping" style getaway in a lovely rural setting with welcoming owners. Enjoy the peace, farm animals & nature. Basic facilities include a farmhouse washroom and a composting toilet (some found it a bit remote/rustic). Bottled water provided; showers are an extra charge. Owners embrace the wild camping vibe and are responsive to feedback.

Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked The owner is friendly and welcoming...myself and the kids really enjoyed all the animals around and it really is a beautiful piece of land and I truly appreciate the owner for everything during our visit here. There was bottled water on site which was great you just need to ask. I also asked for any nice trails or walks around the area and was recommend of this upon arrival which was nice.
Disliked There is allot of sheep's feces everywhere which can't really be helped as it's a working farm.
The children really didn't enjoy the compost toilet as it was leaking and pretty full without any cleaning or maintenance done. It's just kind of a wooden hut and it kind of intimidated them so we just decided to use the travel potty we brought when we could.this was the biggest problem we had.
Shower facilities weren't open as the well had dried up(not fault of the farmer at all) but we were recommended to go to the leisure centre if needed.
We also had no signal for the 3 days we were here.

A fantastic wild camping spot with no frills and an incredible view!
Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked About as wild as you can get – which is exactly what we were looking for! Great welcome by the accommodating and friendly hosts. The kids loved the animals and access was easy and we found it without a problem with the instructions given. The surrounding area had loads of walks and paths to explore and the sunsets across Aberaeron were stunning.
Disliked Without an ability to have a campfire (local regulations due to dry weather - not the camp site's fault), this mainly is a place to pitch a tent with no frills.
The cockerel sings all night!!

A very simple back to basic…
Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked A very simple back to basic campsite with minimal facilities, but bags of charm. Lovely surroundings in a stunning valley surrounded by nature and big skies.
We were given easy to follow instructions (what3words) which took us straight to the site and greeted by the owner Mark who was very accomodating.
Mark and his wife were always on hand throughout our stay, when required or for just a chat. We bought some eggs (duck and chuck) for a scrumptious breakfast.
This is a site with virtually no facilities which was like wild camping, but with the safety net of the owner near by. We loved watching the red kites flying overhead and interacting with the different farm animals on the way to the compost loo or in the yard. There was no water when we stayed, due to a dry well, (we received prior warning) which wasn't a problem if you consider it's a wild camping site. Mark kindly gave us some until we were able to get a supply elsewhere.
We loved the 2 geese that greeted us as we arrived and left the site, the very friendly cat Socks and field of sheep who watched as we visited the loo in their field.
It's a great site from getting away from crowds and noise.

What a lovely place, we had…
Primitive grass and earth RV campsite
Liked What a lovely place, we had such a relaxing time we wish we could have stayed longer. Vast amount of space to chose where you wanted to pitch. Some lovely farm animals to look at and we even got up at 2.30am to look at the stars. Mark the owner was very helpful and we would definitely stay again. (Longer next time)

Primitive grass and earth RV campsite
Liked Amazing location ! Wild and beautiful.
Friendly host and lovely animals. Fantastic value.
Disliked Found that closing the loo at 9 a bit difficult, compost loo a bit of a walk. But I’m still very happy with the stay and the clue is in the name ; wild camping ☺️

Great campsite if fairly self sufficient
Primitive grass and earth RV campsite
Liked Lovely peaceful area and site. The animals were fun to look at and the owners were really welcoming. Spacious area for camping, lovely sunsets. Would deffo return but would have been useful to have a more realistic view before arriving for our autistic children (hence the detailed ‘disliked’ section) good phone signal which is useful for making plans. Good communication before hand, which was nice, and were told about shower not working on arrival.
Disliked Only bottled water provided, no taps etc, which felt awkward at times, felt bad for inconveniencing them! Toilet open during the day (except when they go out) and the alternative toilet (composting) was in a field with sheep and was a fairly scary experience for the children- felt like a bucket in a homemade shack! No rubbish disposal at all, which was hard with how much plastic waste we were creating from the water bottles! Also no ELSAN.

From the manager: Thank you for your comments Rebecca much appreciated. I would just point out that we are and have always been a 'Wild Camping' experience. At no point have we claimed to be anything other than a back to basics farm stay. I would ask that guests are fully aware of this when making a booking. Regards ESLAN - I am a special needs trained ALN Classroom Teacher and so if I am aware in advance of guests with children who may find challenges being on the farm I am more than willing to help.
Look forward to seeing you all again in the future I hope.

Owner is friendly, campsites is good…
Primitive grass and earth tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Owner is friendly, campsites is good .
Disliked We stayed in a tent and overall was okay.
However, I would recommend it more for adults than for families with young children. The indoor toilet facilities close at 9:00 PM, and after that only the outdoor portable toilet at the back of the campsite is available. Unfortunately, this was quite inconvenient for my children and made our stay more challenging.
As a parent, I found myself constantly worrying that my children might need to use the toilet during the night, which affected our ability to fully relax and enjoy the experience.

From the manager: Thank you for the feedback. Always useful. I would point out that we are advertised as a 'Wild Camping' Site with a back to basics farm stay experience. At no point are we advertising anything else. I would encourage guests to read very carefully what they can expect both on the website and in our Welcome Pack as all of this is explained. We make every effort to provide as many services which go beyond the 'wild camping' agenda as we can but guests should remember that these are provided purely at the discretion of the owners however do not reflect those found on commercial sites which operate 24/7.
Will return next year. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay
