What customers say
This beautiful, secluded campsite offers a peaceful "wild camping" experience with clean, well-maintained facilities. Spacious, private pitches with fire pits are set beside a river. Friendly owners, an honesty shop, and river access add to the charm. Midges in summer are a minor issue. A highly recommended nature escape.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Beautiful setting, very peaceful and couldn’t see or hear the road over the sound of the rushing water. Only four pitches and we were right at the end so felt as if we were wild camping (except for the fact we had access to a lovely fire pit area and toilets etc!) Best of both worlds. Was great that we could park right by our pitch too.
Disliked Being right next to the water meant the midges were pretty horrendous.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Lovely relaxed feeling to the site. Fun to cross the river to get to the campsite. Groovy huts for the toilets, shower and honesty shop. Everything worked well. Good space on each pitch.
Disliked Being next to the river in August, the midges were out. Not too bad, but enough to make me spray up and put a head net on!

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked We loved our stay at Dall Cottage camping. Hosts were lovely and getting picked up in an army truck to cross a river was a great start to the trip! Very clean and functional site with purpose built toilets and shower. The wee shop with fire wood, snacks, bug spray and more is a great touch!
