If you like your countryside stays to come with a good dose of comfort as well as some peaceful green scenery, you’ll certainly want to take a look at Holmbyre Luxury Glamping Pods. As the name suggests, you can expect high-quality accommodation at this Ayrshire site, where each of the luxurious pods has been kitted out with a comfy double bed and a sofa bed, an ensuite shower room and a kitchen area with cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge and all the associated bits and bobs. The scenery around here is wonderful all year round, but the weather can be fickle, so it’s handy to know that there’s heating to keep you cosy at all times inside your insulated wooden pod. The other alternative to keep warm, of course, is a rather lovely one: you can simply stroll outside to your own private hot tub and bubble away in the open air. With any luck, you’ll have some decent weather during your stay – and for those times there’s an outdoor seating area for each pod, where you can relax with a peaceful morning coffee or get the firepit going in the evening to keep you toasty while you sip a glass of wine. A complimentary welcome hamper is provided to get you going with supplies; to restock, head to the shops in Dalry, five minutes’ drive away. As for the rest of your time, well, you’ll have plenty of options – walks, beaches, castles and golf courses are all within 20 minutes’ drive, as are the boat trips and ferry services from Largs.

Islay camping pod (hot tub, no pets)

Liked Quiet, very clean it smelled amazing. Welcome was fab, the hot tub was toasty, wood provided for a fire and a little welcome pack. Couldn’t fault it 10/10. If we’re ever in the area we’ll be going again

Islay camping pod (hot tub, no pets)

Liked Met ons drieën (mijn 2 kinderen en ik) zijn hier 2 nachten gebleven. De eigenaren waren vriendelijk het ontvangst was goed. Het was geen probleem dat we later aankwamen. De pod was netjes en alles wat je nodig had was aanwezig. De jacuzzi was echt top. De kinderen hebben zich vermaakt met het voetballen op het veldje en ze vonden de varkens geweldig.
Kortom een fijn verblijf en zeker aan te raden.
