The park seems a bit tired and no one on security.

Liked Ease of access. 24hr toilets and grey waste water disposal.
Disliked Although advertised as a short walk to the beach there did not seem to be any access due to a railway bridge having had its steps removed, would have had to walk into Saltcoats and then back down to Stevenston on the coastline from what I could see.
I stayed on the No 1 hardstanding pitch. The bollard advertising the pitch number had been knocked down and there seemed to be adhoc litter around the van ie plastic clips and assorted bungee cords. The area was functional, however, a bit tired.
The hardstanding pitches back right on to the railway.
Around 1:30am the occupants of the van next to me had a very noisy domestic which resulted in broken glass and ceramics on the No 2 Hardstanding. During the course of the fight an occupant set about their outdoor camping furniture breaking some of it. The occupant, who was very drunk then proceeded to drive off with the van leaving his wife and son behind on the grass.
No one came to check this distrubance out. In the morning when I was packing up around 6am it became apparent that there was glass broken around the No 2 pitch and on the grass. I walked down to the security gate which was unmanned. I had to all the mobile number provided outside the security gate to inform the park personnel to clear up the glass before a child or someone's pet managed to cut their feet and also to collect the damaged furniture. The security guard said he would let the office staff know when they arrived.

Liked The friendly staff.
Disliked The unsitely area behind the entertainment block and beside the toilets. The lack of access to the beach due to the closed off derelict footbridge. The false advertising showing the beach but having no access to it. The train line could be hidden a bit by shrubbery.
The food in the restaurant was completely overcooked and dried out in a microwave.

OK for quick stop off.
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Easy to find and handy for us catching ferry.
Facilities - toilets and showers were kept clean by nice friendly staff. The railway wasn't too noisy surprisingly.
Level pitches.
Disliked The security checking procedure prior to arrival was particularly onerous for a UK campsite
Touring pitches adjacent to a well used railway line.

Liked Friendly clean park
Disliked Trains track right next to pitch
Dirty, full of kids (school time???)Not dog friendly as advertised
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Nothing. Facilities shabby and cold. Advertised as dog friendly but this turned out to be in your accommodation only (we have a vw camper) so could not make use of any of the facilities I.e. restaurant for dinner or breakfast.
Disliked Everything - booked for two nights but only stayed for one.
Next to a caravan with their filth everywhere.
