Taking in the views over Loch Lomond is right up there with Scotland’s top experiences… and arguably it gets even better if you’re doing that from your own private patch right by the water. You’ll be able to do exactly that on a stay at Elmbank Cabin, a cosy little getaway in the village of Luss.
Yes, this lovely little spot is right on the banks of Loch Lomond, with stunning views out over the loch and the mountains beyond. It’s a great base for activities like hill walking, watersports and golf – or for completely inactive days simply staring out at the scenery from the garden or the huge window.
Look out towards the loch and the country views might trick you into thinking you’re right in the middle of nowhere here – but in fact if you head out in the other direction you’ll find yourselves in the village of Luss, which has a clutch of handy amenities including a shop, a fish and chip shop and a couple of places to eat. It’s also just off the A82, putting it in a useful location for getting out to the rest of Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, or to the many attractions around Argyll and beyond.
Wherever you choose to roam, you’ll come back to a comfy cabin kitted out with all the essentials – it’s got heating, wifi, a kitchenette (with cooker, microwave, toaster and kettle) and a private shower room, plus all bed linen and towels provided. Outside, seating and a barbecue are in place to help you make the most of the lovely landscapes.
