If you like the thought of waking up to views of Ben Cruachan and falling asleep as the sun sets over Loch Etive, then Daley Croft Boutique Glamping is where you should be. This small and family-run site is on a working croft at Taynuilt in Argyllshire; it’s 20 minutes’ drive from Oban and close to some of Scotland’s most spectacular scenery.
The handful of glamping units all have private bathrooms and soft beds (all linens supplied) as well as thoughtful extras like complimentary toiletries, a woodburning stove for heating and a simple camping kitchen. Step outside and you have a private seating area with far-reaching views, a picnic table and a firepit for alfresco feasting.
Daley Croft is easy to access off the A85 between Oban and Crianlarich, and staying there puts you in reach of the Munros of Glencoe, the 45‑minute ferry journey to Mull and Iona, and the scenic West Highland Line, which runs alongside the site. Taynuilt railway station is 15 minutes’ walk away for those who are travelling on public transport.
