What customers say
Friendly, peaceful small campsite with lovely views. Clean, heated washrooms are a highlight. Mostly level pitches, great for big rigs with National Trust access. Owners are super helpful. Occasional train noise is minor. Great value and a handy base for exploring.

Great site, level pitches, walkers heaven.
Powered cement/asphalt campsite
Liked Spacious, level pitches.
Lovely quiet site. Even though the railway was close, it didn’t bother us.
Pub a nice 15 min stroll away, and walks galore direct from the site.
Toilets and shower spotless and toasty warm. Staff/owners were very friendly.
Disliked Although lovely, only one shower would be an issue at the height of the season.

Excellent areas for motorhome as flat and lots of space allocated.
Powered cement/asphalt campsite
Liked Friendly team who were really informative about local facilities. There are all amenities for motorhome and caravans such as grey waste, Ensen toilet and fresh water. Washing up area and a washing machine. Toilet and shower and the team are building another shower. Everything clean and warm, great when weather a bit chilly. Excellent freedom for the dog as we were right beside national trust land, beautiful views. Quiet site.
Disliked We enjoyed our stay, so no complaints from us. Remember to stock up on provisions as shops a drive away.

Liked The bathroom and toilet had heated floors
Disliked Honestly at first it seemed okay but over the time we stayed the woman was acting up her washer was broken and destroyed my cloths when I tried to dry them with a heater I was told to unplug it as it cost too much but I played for electric (was safely positioned away from water exposure ) then my son who has disabilities forgot to turn the toilet light off he got told off . I was having a shower and my partner was in the connecting toilet and the woman was stood outside are door trying to look threw the window telling us to turn lights on (they were already on) made us feel uncomfortable as she was shouting threw door to us wile we was using the facilities . She rummaged threw are rubbish and was trying to find faults everywhere with everything my child has issues and struggles going new places and sometimes can become over hyper but that was a problem aswell nothing we tried doing was okay for her getting in and out wasn’t great with the pot holes on property

Spotless toilet, good pitches, walking opportunities.

Liked Good pitches and amazing loos (though I got locked in even after following instructions)...then realised you just have to pull the door rather hard (ladies).
Didn't look at the shower.
15ish minute walk to the pub, which had a lovely community feel without making, 'outsiders,' feel unwelcome.
I can imagine that in the summer, the walks across the fields would be amazing.
Disliked The reason for 7 is the train track, which others have mentioned. If not for that, rating would be higher...especially because the loo was absolutely spotless and warm! It's not the owners fault, clearly, but can't not be mentioned.

Liked Lovely friendly people! This makes a big difference after traveling a long way. We just stopped over for one night on our way down to Cornwall and might use it for future trips. Relaxed atmosphere, not too many rules to follow! We were late arriving, as traffic had been horrendous, but weren’t treated like we had disrupted everything!
Disliked A bit of train noise from the railway line just over the hedge, but nothing to put us off revisiting this friendly site in future.

Powered cement/asphalt campsite
Liked Lovely, well kept site, friendly staff, clean facilities.
Disliked Right by a train line, train quite noisy - although not a problem for us personally, it’s not mentioned on the campsite write up.
Also roads getting to it are a bit narrow, more like tracks rather than roads, - can be a bit tricky to navigate!
