Primitive grass campsite
Liked Everything. I mean, it’s such a beautiful site, and right next door to an enormous forest. The sound from the campsite of the evening was filled with laughter, feral kids and the smells of bbq’s, it was just wonderful. The non electric pitches for us were the best because there was no uniformity of the regular site. If you liked a space, you could just pitch there.
Disliked It might close—for good on the 5th November. The site wardens said this might be the closing months of the site which has made us sad. We only live up the road and used the August bank holiday to just escape. We had already planned our return, but that’s now not going to happen.

Primitive grass campsite
Liked I liked the peace and quiet and the family feel. The wardens were really welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. The site was clean and well kept.
Good mix of tents, caravans, motorhomes and camper vans. EHU available.
I am a solo camper and this site felt very safe and secure.
It is a dog friendly site and again he was made very welcome. Plenty of bins for waste and very quickly in an area he could be off lead.
The bonus of the site is the proximity to Savenake forest. A beautiful old woodland with fabulous walks.
Could not have asked for a better place to camp for the weekend.
Disliked Nothing, this is my perfect site.
