What customers say
This peaceful, spacious campsite is in beautiful countryside with large, private sites. Reviewers rave about the exceptionally clean, eco-friendly facilities, including showers and composting toilets. The owner is often called friendly and attentive. Most love the tranquil, "back to nature" feel, though some found the composting toilets tricky and had issues with wet ground. A highly recommended getaway!

Suggestion - maybe Naked Sprout toilet tissue?
Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite (no pets)
Liked I wanted quiet, it was quiet even in the middle of August!!
I also loved that it is ecoi friendly with compost loos , wooden shower cubicles - which even a swallow took to resting there! That speaks for itself when nature trusts human places.
Thank you Jenny.

Primitive grass campsite (no pets)
Liked Spaciousness and glad firepits were not in use (dry grass) as I wouldn't be thrilled to have someone else's smoky fire floating through my van.

Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Lovely site, had a very spacious level non EHU pitch with gorgeous views. Lovely friendly owner, good location for Ludlow and Shropshire hills. Very good food pub down the road.
Disliked The facilities were very clean but I’m afraid composting toilets are not for me! Luckily we had an alternative.

Just a beautiful site and well looked after x
Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Beautiful and peaceful campsite, lovely owner Jenny , very friendly , kind and approachable. Facilities clean and well looked after. Good size pitches , secure and very private. As a solo female camper I felt so save. My little dog Toby ( usually anxious doggo) felt so comfortable and loved running around . For sure we will be back again . Thank u Jenny for having us and I hope u are proud of the beautiful campsite u have, it’s 💯 retreat. As someone who works with people I really needed no people time . One more thing, I loved the no mobile time - thank u 🌹🌹🌹

Could be lovely but not for us
Primitive grass campervan, tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Nice location
Good Size Pitches
Disliked We were made to feel very unwelcome as apparently the owner had had a bad experience with "that Sort" of dog
We have never been to a PitchUp campsite where the owner comes to inspect, but we have been to many where the friendly owners come round to ensure we are happy and to have a chat
This campsite is in no way Adult only- the family area is at the top of the field and has access to all facilities
The Compost toilets are difficult to access in a shed up steep steps and the toilets are too high up to be easily used
We had to clear dog mess from our pitch when we first arrived
The field has long grass and we were asked to keep off to protect wildlife, meant actually not much space but ok. But don't then make a point of watching to check we obeyed
Dogs are to be kept under control and on lead, owners dogs barked a lot and were roaming free at times
We left after one night

From the manager: I’m very sorry to hear you felt unwelcome, it was not my intention at all. I was obviously jumpy after a recent bad experience with a dog onsite but it was unfair of me to let this affect my approach.
All dogs are meant to be on leads and picked up afterwards, there is a sign in the entrance, this is to ensure the safety of everyone and everything else on site, but not to effect the enjoyment of theirs or their owners stay.
My dog Mango is kept on a lead as she’s a rescue with a keen hunting nose, I take children over 12 at present but I’m not aware that I have stated I am an adult only site, apologies if you feel you were misled.
I will take onboard your comments and do my best to ensure that when I ask someone to put their dog on a lead that I don’t make them feel uncomfortable.
I hope you find sites better suited to your needs in the future.
