Field 2 primitive grass campsite

Liked Absolutely everything about this campsite was amazing. From the welcome we got to the pitches the cleanliness of the wash rooms the location and value for money plus we got offered to move to a quieter part of the campsite without having to ask.

Disliked Only bad point not for us as it didn't seem to bother us was one row of the tents is next to a main road but like I said didn't seem to bother us

A fab site!

Field 2 powered grass campsite (XL)

Liked A fab site that is very convenient to get to. The facilities were well maintained and clean. Lovely hot showers. Check in was easy. The biggest bonus for us was the little dog area, where our pup could enjoy her Zoomies!

Excellent; friendly staff, level pitch, clean facilities & beautiful!

Field 2 primitive grass campsite

Liked Lovely little site with helpful, friendly owner to greet us on arrival. Parked in a non EHU pitch, great value at £17 for the night. Pitched backed onto the road, with hedge in between. Some road noise but didn’t bother us in the slightest. Lovely level pitch.

Clean facilities, even had plenty of plug points for hairdryers etc but didn’t use those. Showers were fab and no push button, which is always a joy!

Saved and added to favourites as I’m sure we will stay again.

Field 2 powered grass campsite (XL)

Liked Large size pitch.
Very clean.
Good toilet facilities.

Disliked Next to a main road. Not possible to walk to nearby village or give a dog a proper walk.
Pitches go round in a circle so everyone just stares at each other.
No wifi.

Amazing place, immaculately clean and well designed, plenty of good quality showers…

Field 1 Corner powered grass campsite

Liked The site was beautifully manicured and the shower/loo block was sparkling clean , probably the freshest site we've ever stayed at
Very handy for the Helicopter Museum which is closed Mon + Tues

Disliked Minor point , don't think they had a drive over drain to empty the grey waste directly into

Would definitely add it too our come back again list

Field 1 powered grass campsite (medium)

Liked Lovely well spaced out campsite. The hostess was very helpful when we needed a longer electric cable for our pitch.
Very peaceful in general and everyone seemed to respect each others privacy.
Toilet and shower blocks were immaculate!! The cleaner took real pride in his work for sure .
Would 100% visit again as we couldn’t fault the place

Local attractions

The Myrtle Farm Holidays setting at the foot of the Mendip Hills has it perfectly placed for outdoorsy days, with a vast pick of walks, cycle routes, fishing and birdwatching within easy distance. By car, Cheddar village and the famed and fab Cheddar Gorge are very close by, as is the teeny city of Wells with its cathedral and independent shops. The National Trust-managed Victorian Gothic house of Tyntesfield is ten miles away. Another cracking option is Glastonbury, with its independent shops and cafés, museums, Glastonbury Abbey and Glastonbury Tor. The golden sandy beaches, seaside shops and wide range of restaurants and bars at Weston-Super-Mare, Brean and Burnham-on-Sea are all within a short drive. You'll also be within easy driving distance of the cities of Bristol and Bath and their shopping, theatres, cinemas, museums, bars and restaurants. Travel a little further to get to Wiltshire, where must-sees include Stonehenge and Longleat.
