What customers say
Lovely, tranquil farm site with ample, level pitches, natural privacy, and picnic tables. Guests praised the welcoming staff, farm animals, and scenic river setting. While the eco-friendly approach is a plus, some found the lack of showers and the state of some composting toilets to be downsides. The on-site shop is handy.

Great weekend on the farm
Meadow primitive grass campsite
Liked Our 3rd visit to Wookey Farm, 3 nights under the canvas.
We all had a fabulous time playing in the river and sitting by the fire at night. The Ring’O’ bells pub is only a short walk and the food and service is brilliant!
Lovely flat pitches and plenty of space to be free.
The compost toilets are well looked after and are not too far away from any pitch.

Lovely site but improvements needed
Power optional grass campsite
Liked The space in the centre of the field where the children can play and we can still watch.
Shop is pretty.
Disliked The toilets… the ammonia was unbearable.
Urinals just don’t work, kids can’t aim enough for it, so wee goes all over the floor.
No plugs In the sinks in the toilets, so makes it exceptionally hard to do a strip wash as there are no showers.
The shop is only open for 1 hour a day (except Friday and Saturday where it opened again in the evening for an hour)
More essentials to be provided in there maybe?

Liked Lovely little site. The stream is absolutely fantastic for a splash and even has a rope swing for the children.

Loved our stay and wishes we'd been able to stay longer.
Power optional grass campsite
Liked Absolutely loved this site!
We stayed on campsite 1 with electric. The pitches were well spaced out with hedges and trees separating them, giving a little added privacy. Each pitch has it's own recycling and compost bins as well as a fire pit.
In the middle of all the pitches is a large open space to play which we really appreciated.
The farm is open to visitors and has a little farm shop which can be opened on request. At the bottom is a stream with rope swings which the kids loved.
The site has compost toilets which were kept clean.
Disliked No showers.

If it wasn't for the toilets I would probably go back.
Meadow primitive grass campsite
Liked The site overall, there was a nice amount of room per pitch, great having the lake on site, nice to see farm animals and having the option to buy produce from the farm shop
Disliked Toilets and no showers, we only stayed for one night, I'm not sure how people manage staying longer due to no showers. The toilets were the biggest Issue, I'm all for keeping things natural but this is to far for me, especially having nowhere to dry your hands either. I would however recommend the site but make them aware of the bathroom facilities.

Simplicity at it's best!
Meadow primitive grass campsite
Liked Lovely spot - easy to find. We really enjoyed seeing the farm animals and playing in the river. We stayed in the super spacious meadow field which has a real feeling of freedom. Ideal for playing ball games etc too. The shop was great, and staff friendly. Appreciated the hot water supply for washing up. A clean, tidy and well run site.
Disliked The compost toilets were clean and spacious, but not what I expected - just a hole beneath the bowl with no sawdust. Consequently the smell was overwhelming.
