What customers say
Friendly, well-kept site with clean facilities, helpful staff, and a peaceful vibe. Close to a good pub & great for dog walking. Some found facilities a bit dated & heard road noise, but most loved it and want to return.

Very disappointing
Powered grass and gravel campsite
Liked Not a lot, the park warden was very friendly and seemed to have a lot of work on his hands.
Disliked Very dated facilities, rusty radiator and old mould marks painted over, damp problem in places with the walls. Whole site needs tidying. Overflowing rubbish. When we arrived we needed to call at the owners, who were out, to let them know we had arrived and they didn’t seem to realise we were coming. Next to a very busy/fast road which isn’t their fault. A lot of noise during the night with vehicles coming and going on/off the site. As previous people have mentioned does appear to be more residential/permanent (we hadn’t picked up on this before we stayed). Advertised as with WiFi but sadly it hardly worked which for some people isn’t important but for us with our daughter aboard and wanted to be able to keep in contact it was. Not worth the price per night.

Liked nice quite, clean well kept site, lots of room. friendly welcome and a great pub in easy walking distance. wellington is only 10 minutes away by car and has a supermarkets, takeaways and a magnificent looking Weatherspoon's. ticks all our boxes for a good weekend. only minor downside its in a bit of a dead area for phone signal. (i personally see that as a good thing, those of a teenage persuasion were mortified/traumatized)
Disliked nothing.

Lower Field primitive grass tent or RV campsite
Liked The warden was really helpful and pleasant. Good showers and site had all amenities. The pub next door is excellent. The site is a wildlife haven.
Disliked Based on a very noisy road. Nothing apart from the local pub within walking distance.

Liked Very nice well looked after site, Paul the warden was very helpful & friendly. There is a public house just door that I would recommend. We had the choice of pitch when we arrived, lovely dog walking area as well as numerous dog waste bins. Toilets clean.
Disliked Only slight point would be the site is close to a very fast road, noise during the day tailed off at night

A good stopover site but not a destination
Powered grass and gravel campsite
Liked Good bathroom facilities and a friendly and helpful host. The site is only 100yrds from a dog friendly pub but there are no pavements and traffic is fast on the road. EHU included and water on pitch. Level hard standing pitches which were nicely spaced. Space to walk the dog.
Disliked Busy road with fast traffic so not safe to walk along with children or dogs, especially in the evening. Toilets were not particularly clean, and could do with a revamp. Expensive for the facilities on offer and location.
