What customers say
Beautiful orchard campsite with a chill vibe and roomy spots. Clean washrooms, great kitchen. Cider Barn's a hit with food, drinks, and music. Track access and event noise can be a bother, and washrooms can get busy. Compost toilets are fine, but some prefer regular ones. Dogs welcome, good for walks.

Powered grass tent campsite
Liked Lovely quiet site based in the country side and through a cider farm orchard. Close to many attractions and beaches. The rustic feel to the site adds to the atmosphere.
We were anxious about the use of compostable toilets but they weren’t too unpleasant and kept relatively clean. Unfortunately some of the saw dust does make it into the showers making it seem unclean.
Disliked On arrival we were unable to contact anyone regarding where to pitch the tent. One number went to voicemail and the other was an ex employee.
The site was lovely and quiet until the final night when a large group arrived with screaming children. I don’t mind playing but this was chase games until late and from 6:30am. One of the dogs also let itself into our tent.
This unfortunately wasn’t addressed at the time as the owner had gone on his own holiday and no alternate numbers were left for us to contact.
Throughout the region there are multiple signs regarding no fires or bbqs. On the final night many people appeared to ignore these signs and multiple tents had fires on the extremely dry grass. There was no one around to notify of this either. I would a dive someone does occasional checks on the camping feilds in the evenings whilst the fire ban is in place.

Amazing and exceptional site.
Bell tent (basic)
Liked Bell tent and beds provided. Phone chargers in tent. Hot showers (solar powered). Compost toilets (clean). Kitchen area...with microwave, toaster, hot plate, fridge freezer....tables and chairs, all under a cover. Live band on Friday nights and on site cheap bar and food van. Saturday games. Friendly dogs for petting. No worries 10 out of 10 site with friendly owner...exceptional.

Excellent campsite in an idyllic setting with great facilities
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked This campsite is in a great location easy to get to numerous places, including beaches.
It has wonderful views and is in an idyllic setting. The camping field is very spacious and you can set up where you like and have plenty of room
Excellent facilities, exactly what you would expect from an eco friendly site. Compost toilets, showers and a couple of sinks for washing/cleaning you teeth. It also has the
added benefits of being able to use the outdoor kitchen area, which has fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, electric hotplate and sink/ draining board and bbq.
Another added benefit is the cider barn bar open on Friday and Saturday evenings, with live music Fridays. Food is served by various vendors on Friday and Saturdays too. Basement 17 tacos were there when we stayed and the food looked very good and had a queue for most of the evening, which is a good sign and a must to try next time.
We had a wonderful stay during the very hot week in May, so it was great to have the showers. We never had to queue for them.
We will definitely be returning.

Overall, lovely campsite
Bell tent
Liked Friendly welcome from David, owner and the tent was just as pictures showed. Spacious and comfy. Access to a little outdoor kitchen with hob/fridge/microwave which was really useful. Compost toilets were fine, clean. It was very quiet when we stayed so no issues with hot water shortages. Lovely rural setting.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked The field is spacious, and has the option for social activities if here on the right days. The facilities were really clean, and having access to a kitchen with fridge, kettle and hobs were appreciated. The option to rent a fire pit is also a bonus.
Disliked We heard good things about the events and were looking forward to it but missed out on it because of a wedding. It would have been nice to know in advance if the events are not running for such reasons.
