  • Luxury glamping pods for adults only on the Devon/Dorset border
  • A 10-minute drive to Lyme Regis and the Jurassic Coast
  • Private hot tub for each pod, plus kitchen and stylish bathroom
Down on the Devon/Dorset border is a wonderful place to base yourselves for an outdoor break – you’ll be surrounded by gorgeous landscapes and within easy reach of lots of top attractions across both of these excellent coastal counties. Right in this very spot is Trinity Hill Hideaway, an adults-only glamping site in a rural location about five minutes’ drive from Uplyme and 10 minutes from Lyme Regis. On the edge of Trinity Hill Nature Reserve and surrounded by farmland, there’s plenty of peace and quiet to be had at this lovely spot – and a good collection of walks and bike rides nearby too. And with the Jurassic Coast just a short drive away you can easily throw beach days, fossil hunting and boat trips into the mix as well. Accommodation at this site is in stylish hand-crafted pods with twin or kingsize beds, a comfy sofa, a Smart TV and a dining table and chairs, plus heating and insulation to keep everything cosy. Each luxury pod has its own modern bathroom (with a large walk-in shower) and a well-equipped kitchen (including cooker, hob, fridge and dishwasher), and there’s wifi to help you keep connected. Outside is just as lovely – each pod has a decking area with seating and a woodfired stove, with a barbecue available on request as well. It’s also home to the real cherry on top: a two-person electric hot tub where you can have a soothing soak while taking in the scenery. With CCTV and access via an electric barrier, the site feels nice and safe, and there’s always a member of staff on hand in a neighbouring property if you need some help.

Local attractions

The lovely town of Lyme Regis is about 10 minutes’ drive away, and should be on your schedule at some point, whether you’re looking for a good meal, taking a walk along the seafront to the Cobb or planning some fossil hunting on the beach. You may also like to visit the fossil-filled museum, go fishing, hire a kayak or join a high-octane RIB ride. Elsewhere along the Jurassic Coast, you can climb Golden Cap (20 minutes’ drive) for sweeping sea views, head underground at Beer Quarry Caves (20 minutes) and visit places like Seaton (15 minutes), West Bay (25 minutes) and Abbotsbury (35 minutes). They’re all linked by the South West Coast Path, so a good seaside walk can be on the cards too. Inland, visit the likes of Burrow Farm Gardens (15 minutes) and Forde Abbey and Gardens (25 minutes) or sign up for foodie courses and events at River Cottage HQ (five minutes).
