What customers say
Lovely, peaceful, wild camping spot in woodland/river. Praised for quiet, nature, remoteness. Great for dogs/families. Campfires, stream for swimming are highlights. Some note long grass/compost toilet upkeep, but manager confirms improvements.

Cozy little place in the green…
Primitive grass RV campsite
Liked Cozy little place in the green next to a river. Very nice surroundings. We really liked the fact that there was a bucket and a sink so that we could do our dishes with water from the stream. Wonderfully quiet night under a beautiful starry sky.

Already miss the yurt!!
Yurt
Liked Loved the private location, we felt like we were a million miles away! The cosy yurt had everything we needed and a beautiful view from the window. We slept with the curtains open to take full advantage. The wildlife and scenery really made this stay, followed by cozy nights playing games. The water provided from their own well was clean and refreshing. More than enough sleeping space in comfortable beds and clean private compost toilet. Would happily stay again with or without the children.

If you want luxury this is not for you.
Primitive grass RV campsite
Liked Location ideal for photography and peacefullness.
Disliked At the time of staying there we had alot of tics on us so it is adivsed to protect yourselves. This is not the campsite fault and there are signs up stating this.

Wild camping but with a loo and drinking water.
Primitive grass RV campsite
Liked Great site, basic but quiet and beautiful. Loved being able to sit and watch and listen to the birds and go to sleep listening to the babbling river.
Using a bucket to get water for washing up.
Disliked Hike to the loo but recognise the need for where it was in relation to the water course.
Pathway to the loo could have done with a strim
Disappointing that previous campers hadn't cleared all their rubbish.

Liked Lovely sense of remoteness. Fantastic set up to give basic amenities whilst also feeling suitably cut off. Definitely keen to return again.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Loads of space, few other campers, friendly owners, convenient cart for transport to pitch.
Disliked Sadly the one other guest group were not very considerate but that's not the sites fault
