What customers say

Guests rave about Hartland Caravan & Camping Park's welcoming owners, spotless facilities, and gorgeous views. Its location near Hartland village (pubs/shops) is a big plus. Some note peak-time facility pressure & potential noise. Highly recommended for a quiet getaway with local access.

Primitive grass campsite (solo)

Liked I had a lovely stay at Hartland caravan park. The staff were very welcoming and attentive throughout my stay. The site itself is quiet, clean, spacious and has beautiful views. Toilet and showers were well maintained and clean. I had a lovely stay and didn’t dislike anything! For the price, it is a great site!

Liked Convenient shower and toilet facilities.
Excellent pitch size.
Becka/Bex was wonderful, super friendly, chatty and literally couldbt do enough to help.
The view from our pitch (field 1) was exceptional - can see st nectans church in neighbouring stoke, the ruins atop hartland quay and of course...the sea!
Excellent location for exploring all the north of cornwall and all of devon.
I dont normally like going back to the same place - too much of an explorer - id come back here though.

No onsite Wifi or internet access - signal can be patchy out this way so would be useful for many. I was grateful for the tech detox!

Disliked Not really a dislike but i feel the site would benefit from/could capitalise on a small store on site. Selling camping/food essentials, I appreciate this may annoy the 2 shops in the village though.

Liked This place is an absolute hidden gem. The house Becca is incredibly friendly and accommodating and will go out of her way to ensure you have the best possible experience. The campsite is really spacious, you are not crammed in next to other customers, it’s really clean and beautifully laid out. Hartland is a really charming place, well stocked shops, a lovely coffee shop and lots of pubs. Hartland point and Hartland Quay are absolute highlights and Clovelly is only 10 minutes away.

Powered grass campsite

Liked It was a nice quiet pitch in a small community, with loads of places to visit nearby. There were 2 village stores, a Cafe and 3 pubs within a short walking distance. Best of all we had 2 evenings of live entertainment/music including a night of Sea Shanty singing. We had a lovely relaxing time away and didn't want to leave!

Local attractions

Hartland Abbey is five minutes’ drive away from the site for relaxed roams around an old historical structure, although the rides of The Milky Way Adventure Park (10 minutes) could be a better option if you’re looking for entertainment for the kids… Younger members of your group may also be less keen on peering at the work in the Burton Art Gallery and Museum (25 minutes), which has lots of local crafts on display, but are sure to appreciate bucket and spade times at the sandy beach of Westward Ho! half an hour’s drive away. You might also be able to convince them into coming on morning jaunts to Northam Burrows Country Park (also 30 minutes) or birdwatching at the RSPB Isley Marsh (35 minutes) with the lure of an afternoon at The Big Sheep farm-themed amusement park (20 minutes).
