What customers say
This family farm site offers a relaxed vibe with great elevated views towards Dartmoor. Guests love the spotless washrooms, especially the family bathroom and charging station. Hosts are friendly and helpful. Animal feeding is a hit with kids! Mostly peaceful and spacious, though some non-electric spots have limited views.

Lovely, clean site, but remote and non-electric pitches lack views.
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Nice campsite in a great location, with mostly flat pitches and the possibility of enjoying beautiful sunsets. The toilets and showers were exceptionally clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The campsite is a good size and, most importantly, didn’t feel overcrowded.
Disliked We booked a non-electric pitch hoping to enjoy the beautiful sunsets. Unfortunately, all three sides of the field with sunset views were reserved for electric pitches, while the only non-electric pitches faced a very high hedge that completely blocked the view. We could have pitched in the middle of the field, but it was too windy there.
There was also no shop open on site. We were told we could call the lady if we needed anything, but it felt a little awkward to call her for small purchases.
The campsite is also quite a long drive from anywhere, and the roads leading to it are VERY narrow, which can make getting there a bit challenging.

Liked Super peaceful. Amazing elevated views. Large pitches. Very clean and spacious shower block. Friendly owners who were welcoming. Choice of pitches on arrival. If you want no frills and open space with the luxury of electric and a proper shower block, this is the site for you. Great for star gazing too. Sunset was lovely over Haytor. Put your phone down and enjoy! Great for teaching the kids about the good old days of riding a bike, picking blackberries, walking across the fields, finding insects, or flying a kite. The tour of the farm and animal feeding was special for our 2 year old. Simple but lovely

Liked The site is lovely , showers etc great . It’s our second visit , friendly owners .
Disliked Unfortunately our neighbours were so noisy , having a slanging match at 3am was not great and ruined one nights sleep but not owners fault , they were a large group with 3 or 4 tents with no campsite manners .

Fantastic site, spotless facilities, stunning views – will return

Liked I booked a last-minute, five-night stay at Holsome Park Camping, and it's one of those rare finds that exceeded all expectations. Tucked away between Totnes and Kingsbridge in the stunning South Hams, this family-run, environmentally conscious working farm sits amid an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with sweeping views over Dartmoor—completely unforgettable.
From the moment we arrived, Louise was warm, and welcoming, —she struck the perfect balance between helpful and unobtrusive.
Facilities that truly impressed: The toilet and shower block is immaculate, modern, and well‑laid‑out, including a family room and even accessible facilities.
Two communal fridges and freezers came in incredibly handy for a non-electric pitch—absolutely essential although we booked electric.
The hot showers were reliable and thoughtfully designed, with clean cubicles and plenty of washing‑up space sheltered from the rain.
Daily delights and charming touches: The 9 am animal feeding session was a highlight—they even let us feed the chickens and collect eggs. It connected us to the farm in such a special way! You can also order meat and essentials like bread, milk and logs for a fire.
The views at sunset are downright magical—this elevated campsite offers open panoramas ideal for watching the sun dip behind Dartmoor.
Location & peace of mind: Exceptionally central for the Dartmouth Regatta, with the A38 just 10 minutes away, making coastal and countryside adventures equally convenient.
A wonderfully quiet, family-friendly vibe with open fields to run in, kids happily playing nearby, and the right balance of freedom and care.
Verdict: Holsome Park Camping is a gem. Between the fantastic facilities, unbeatable views, thoughtful extras like animal feeding, and Louise’s warm hospitality, it’s quickly become a favourite. Five nights felt way too short—I’m already counting down the days until I return next year. If you’re heading to the South Hams or the Regatta, do yourself a favour and stay here—you’ll thank me later.
