This well-maintained campsite boasts spacious sites & super clean facilities (incl. dog shower!). Friendly staff, great location near beach & town, with good transit. Food van & shop on-site. Mostly positive, but some noted sloped sites & 20p showers.

Liked Wonderful location. Nature and the scenery is lovely. Facilities are spotless. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Very nice people. Pitch and site layout is good. Walking distance to the coast and local shops/bars etc.
Disliked Have to pay for the showers. £0.20 for 5 minutes. Realistically it's not a large expense, it's just a faff in an ever increasing 'cashless' society. Fortunately my redundant ash tray in the vehicle had some shrapnel. Change is available at the kiosk too apparently (during office hours mind).

Disliked Even though the site wasn't anywhere near full, we were all crammed together in one area - felt very much on top of each other

From the manager: Thank you Kaye for sharing your experience at Leadstone, We are currently having new hard standing pitches put in to one of our fields before the winter comes so our main field for motorhomes and caravans is closed, due to the rolling fields we have tried to put caravans and motorhomes on the flattest pitches, I'm sorry to hear this spoilt your holiday. Our reception is open daily from 8.30 and would of been happy to find an alternative pitch if we had been aware of your disappointment. We hope you enjoy your next holiday in your caravan.

Liked It felt like a well organised family campsite, with good sized pitches, with electric hook up at reasonable rates. The facilities were adequate and clean. The location was perfect for our needs.
Disliked The WiFi seemed to be non existent, but to be fair we did not enquire about it.

Disliked Paying 20p for a shower,then the shower went either boiling hot or freezing cold. Loud music from Lady's Mile resort opposite. No dog walking paddock.

Thank you for mentioning the water temperature I will get it checked as i haven't had anyone report any issues. unlike many other campsites we don't charge for dogs as we don't have a dog walking area and there is areas close by that are great for dogs. this is something we may look at this in the future.

Liked Great views, site manager friendly, facilities immaculate, short walk to beach and generally flat pitches.
Disliked 20p to use shower and I didn’t read this on the info when I booked it so had no change when I got there. Perhaps I missed it or it’s not clear enough. No bother. Went and got change.

There could be a light curfew like there is a noise curfew. The stargazing would have been wonderful but for the flashing fairy lights around pitches. It is September not Christmas. On
