What customers say
This spacious, well-kept site boasts friendly staff and great value. Kids love the activities! Some found facilities a bit dated or noisy, and signage could improve. Great location though!

Not sure I’d return as I do like to try out different sites
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Facilities were good and easily accessible. Appears to be a nice site but didn’t use anything other than the toilets and chemical waste. It was a great price for the night and electric hook up was included in the price.
Disliked Pitch up allocated a spot but the field was in fact closing down for winter. When I arrived to check in I Was allocated a pitch but when I got there it was already in use. I had to drive back to reception as I was unable to reach them by phone. I was then allocated another pitch which again was already taken up. I ended up going in one that was empty but couldn’t get through on phone to let them know, I wasn’t driving around again to speak to them. Seems a little unorganised as surely you know what pitches are in use if you have closed all other fields.

An okay site but have stayed in cleaner sites
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Lovely and clean shower and toilet block. Facilities stayed open until 3 November as half term was later this year. Nice young man on reception who was very informative.
Nice and close to Watermouth Castle which is why we stayed there.
Disliked Crazy golf was an expensive addition, £7 for two, especially as it was flooded so couldn’t play half of it!
The swimming pool changing rooms had an awful odour and very cold. The showers were dirty with hair and goodness knows what on the floor which was there for both days so hadn’t been cleaned. I get it was the end of the season but didn’t look very nice.
We had to buy WI-FI for an additional £12 which was disappointing. Most places I’ve stayed in is free.

Excellent site, well maintained and managed .
FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Site situation very good, close to some good towns and villages, loads of room on pitch, plenty to do on site, toilet blocks very clean and tidy, dog walks in woodland excellent, the overall site is massive, and although our week was mainly raining each day, the site was still used by many fellow campers.
We intend to revisit next year.
Price wise, very competitive, highly recommended.

Powered grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked A lovely peaceful setting surrounded by fields and woods and not far from some wonderful beeches.
The facilities were clean and well maintained.
We enjoyed some good meals at the on site pub and shopped at the shop, which had everything we needed.
Disliked There was nothing we didn’t like

Great site reasonably priced
FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Excellent site , very clean and grounds well kept , level pitches well spaced all services supplied, enjoyed our stay , well stocked shop and friendly staff
Granddaughter loved the pool , even though it is an extra cost 🤷♂️
Disliked Showers , although clean could do with an update to grouting etc , but that is being picky , all our data on our phones shut down on site and you have to pay £6 a day for Wi-Fi , as soon as you go out the entrance they all come back to life like there’s a blocker on phone services

FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Nice quiet site with great facilities. Great restaurant with excellent food. Staff great
Disliked Not really a dislike but the lack of bins and especially recycling was frustrating.
Stated it required to be carried across the site to another area when the site is full in summer this must be an issue.

A really friendly site.
FHU cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked A fantastic site and a perfect location to base yourself for a break in Devon. Brilliant on site facilities and a really well stocked shop. The showers / toilets were clean and warm. The pitch was a good size. Received a very friendly and helpful welcome at reception on arrival. The site was very quiet, but it is very late into the season. Would definitely stay here again.
Disliked WiFi was poor
