What customers say
Spectacular, unmatched bay views, often called the best ever! Campers rave about friendly owners, spotless facilities (showers!), and the peaceful vibe. Pizza nights & communal fridge are bonuses. Can be windy & pitches uneven, but views are worth it.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked The site is stunning, well kept and feels like your on the edge of the world. Watching the sunset in the evening with a firepit was amazing and exactly waht I was looking for. Lovely clean facilities and it just felt safe for me and my children. Not windy, but a fantastic gentle breeze over the heatwave kept us cool. Huge breakfast baquette that we ordered and my children loved, delivered to the tent from the wonderful owner. No wifi but our 4g was really good. We will be returning.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Fantastic short break at Girt Down. Hard to beat a campfire and the sun slowly setting a thousand magical colours on the horizon. Access to North Devon is all within easy reach too. Loved the little hut next to the shower block, complete with a comfy chair, info table, fridge and coffee set-up. Showers were hot, clean and plentiful.
Our favourite beach was Woolacombe - great fun running up and down the dunes and crashing in and out of the waves.
Breakfast at Storm in a Teacup at Watermouth Harbour was awesome, real care and attention evident in the food an from the lovely staff.
Brunch at The Worx Cafe in Braunton was epic! Go here!
Birthday dinner at The Black Venus Inn was a real treat - large, ambitious menu with great local ingredients.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked What a great spot! Perched on a hill with a fantastic view of the bay. Facilities basic but clean and in good condition (shower pressure very good). Proprietors were very helpful and busy around the place.
Disliked None about the campsite. Due to location it's a steep climb to the site and quite windy at times. Fine for us but worth noting!
