  • Simple, peaceful campsite on the north Cornwall coast
  • Mawgan Porth five minutes' drive; 15 minutes to Padstow
  • Access to Porthcothan Bay and the South West Coast Path
Set just inland from the north Cornwall coast, Seaview Farm Stays has lovely open views across the surrounding valley and towards the sea. While it's not visible from all of the pitches, guests can catch partial sea views from various points around the site – and facing west, the sunsets can be very memorable. Just five minutes' drive away from St Eval and near several sandy beaches, it's a peaceful and well-placed base for exploring the coast. Pitches are on a slight slope, so make sure to check the pics before you arrive. Coast lovers of all stripes should be in their element here – there are excellent walks along the South West Coast Path to Bedruthan Steps or Mawgan Porth from the site, or you can just stroll through the farm to reach Park Head, Porth Mear Cove or the sands of Porthcothan Bay, a splendid spot for paddling and bodyboarding as well as scenic sunset picnics. Can't get enough? Top spots like Newquay and Padstow aren't far off either. This is a laidback and pleasingly spacious site that welcomes families, groups and dogs and is pretty relaxed about things like barbecues and campfires. Simple facilities include basic toilets, coin-operated hot showers, drinking water taps and a chemical waste disposal facility. Mawgan Porth (five minutes' drive) and Padstow (15 minutes) are your closest places for shops and places to eat, but there's also a shop at Porthcothan Bay for snacks, coffees and ice creams and a nice tearoom a little over a mile away.

What customers say

A peaceful, basic site with generous pitches & friendly staff. Praised for quiet vibes, beach access, and good value. Facilities are clean but can be simple; hot water & TP sometimes an issue. Signage & signal could be better. Many want to come back.

Liked Nice and quiet, WiFi works pretty well, nice and clean facilities & nice hot water for showers. Good locations in between lots of beautiful beaches & even noticed a few people walking to them. Quick drive to both Newquay and Padstow.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Brilliant, friendly site, very basic and laid back. Fabulous views - not every pitch will have a sea view, but if it’s important to you, there are an abundance of spaces with great views through the hills. No preset pitches, just pitch where you like. The facilities were modern and kept super clean. Perfect shower pressure + temperature. Hot and cold water at washing up station. Fully stocked hand soap and loo rolls. Staff were on site at times, and seemed very approachable, but also left you to do your own thing. Even when it got busier, it still felt very private. Short (and beautiful) walk to the beach. We came with a baby and our dogs and had a fantastic time - thank you!

Disliked My only suggestion would be to maybe have some signs showing where the path to the beach is! (Not that hard to find but did have to ask someone)

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Good location, very clean and good quality toilets and showers. Friendly communication and reasonable per night for grass pitch.

Disliked Only a couple of minor things, we loved the site overall and would definitely return. We pitched in the campsite next door by mistake and apparently not the only people to do this! If the sign was made larger and read Seaview Farm Stays & Camping it could help. The other campsite had a very large 'camping' arrow sign which made us think it was all part of Seaview Farm directing us to the camping fields, but actually we had pitched up in Atlantic View campsite!
Level ground pitches are quite limited, when the site is busy, campervans definitely need levelling chocks.
