Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite

Liked I really liked the rustic feel. I loved the little shed with the toys for kids and books for adults. The chickens and goats round the corner were lovely. The free use of a fire pit and being able to buy logs on site was brilliant. Great communication from the owner. Nearby shops if you need anything and close to beaches. Overall a lovely campsite and we would definitely go back but for longer next time.

Disliked Was very windy for the one night we stayed so would recommend wind breakers.

Bella bell tent (six person)

Liked Just the most wonderful stay. Everything we needed and more. The children loved the chickens and goats. And what a treat being able to purchase fresh eggs! Plenty of space for the children to run around and be children with a games shed for them to search through also. The bell tent was the touch of glamping we were after. We arrived and set our beds up soon to be welcomed by the hosts on their evening rounds. No complaints here!

From the manager: Thank you for your wonderful review Gemma - I'm pleased you enjoyed staying in the Bell Tent at our site and look forward to seeing you all again soon or please pop by so the children can have a run about and see the chickens/ goats if you are passing before the season finishes at the end of Sept.

Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite

Liked Two night stay at
Lamarth Farm Campsite & Holiday Cottage

If you are looking for a great Campsite in Cornwall, We highly recommend Lamarth Farm near Helston!

Rachel & Luke, the site owners are very welcoming , friendly and knowledgeable, helping with information on local beaches, shops or days out.

The site is a flat grass field , sheltered by hedgerows. There is a seperate enclosed Dog exercise area, a farm area, football goals even a swingball! You have views of the Sea and also of RNAS Culdrose, and very dark skies at night which is great for star gazing.

The toilets are very clean and well maintained, the showers were hot and again very clean. There is a covered washing up area , plants for sale, and a hut that is full of books, local information, and things for kids to play with on the field. There is a fridge freezer for campers to use as well as a kettle and plenty of plugs to charge your phone or battery packs, even an air pump to blow up beds etc.

They really have thought of everything to make your stay great!

There are goats, chickens and ducks in the farm area that was very popular with the children, you can buy fresh eggs from the site at a very reasonable price too.

Today (Monday) there was a visiting Crepe and Coffee van there at 8.30am serving lovely coffee and amazing sweet or savoury Crepes 😋

You can see RNAS Culdrose from the site and get to see lots of aircraft flying over which adds to your stay.

Well definitely be stopping here again in the future!

Disliked Couldn't fault anything whilst we were there.

Evania bell tent (four person)

Liked A very welcoming host, with top flight facilities and amenities. Everything was well maintained and clean. The showers were always clean and water was nice and warm. Lots of activities for kids and families, with assistance at your disposal. Will definitely come back again.
Had such a lovely time here.

Thanks to Rachel.

From the manager: It was such a pleasure to welcome you and your family Ahmed- chatting and hearing about all the wonderful places you had visited. A shame the weather wasn't kinder- next time! Harry would also love to show your little boy where the chickens lay their eggs and sleep at night (he was fascinated ) A polite and friendly boy- credit to you both. I hope your journey home was a good one.

Julie O.

Primitive grass tent, campervan or trailer tent campsite

Liked Hot & powerful showers, shower facilities- well stocked-sanitary products available , toilet rolls, shower gel etc if you get short.
Access to electric kettle, fridge, book swap, able to charge phones. Making the camping experience much easier.
Very large dog field with poo bin & poo bags available.
Lovely plants for sale.
Relaxed & friendly.

Disliked Ground very hard!- but able to buy extra strong pegs on site

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for the wonderful review Julie- nice to know the extra little touches made your camping a little easier ( apart from the hard ground) Its been so dry that unfortunately that happens -on the plus side though the tent was well anchored!! We hope to see you again with your stronger pegs. Rachel
