What customers say
This well-kept, quiet campsite has spacious, private pitches bordered by trees. Guests love the excellent location, with easy walking to Bude, beaches, and amenities. Staff are usually friendly and helpful. While grounds are praised, some found toilets/showers basic, dated, and sometimes lacking hot water or cleanliness.

Could be a very nice site, really need to sort the toilets & showers
Primitive grass campsite
Liked A really nice environment, palm trees and flowering plants everywhere.
Disliked The toilets and showers are very poor. Sat amongst trees and bushes, so expect spiders. Each unit has a wooden rustic door with a gate latch. No indication if in use or not, so expect to jump when someone trys the latch. Poorly fitting doors mean you can actually see through the 15mm gaps around it, pretty sure there are regulations about that. The individual shows have a tarmac floor, which has been painted green.
No hard standings, so very tricky in the rain we've just had Sept 2025

Liked Flower borders were nice but that was about it !!!!
Disliked No one at reception to show us where to go or where our pitches were, pitch numbers missing, toilets and showers were scruffy and the actual pan was loose in one of the toilets, not cleaned regularly. Refuse bins were overflowing, asked about wi-fi when at last found someone, and had a grumpy sort it yourself response. The site just appeared to be run down and not any real maintenance for some time. One of the worst sites we have been on for years.

From the manager: We are sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stay. However, it’s important to clarify a few points for future guests reading this.
You originally booked one of our glamping pods, which are exactly as described and pictured online. Our pods receive excellent reviews from the vast majority of guests who understand and enjoy the glamping experience. On arrival you immediately requested an upgrade to one of our cottages — which are a completely different type of accommodation and priced accordingly (the pod at £390 vs. the cottage at £894 for the same period). We offered the upgrade at the correct additional cost, but this was declined.
Our facilities are maintained to a high standard:
• The BBQs provided are quality Weber models which are thoroughly cleaned after each stay.
• The pods are designed for off-grid style stays, so power is limited to USB ports and a small kitchen setup — this is clearly detailed in the listing.
• The grounds and location, as you noted, are what draw most of our guests, and are exactly as shown in the photos.
We appreciate that glamping is not for everyone, particularly if comparing it to a hotel or cottage stay. But many of our guests return year after year precisely because they value the pod experience and everything that comes with it.
Great site

Liked Nice site we only stayed one night as travelling down to Cornwall great for a stop over . The plants etc on the site really stunning , all nice and clean . The lady who greeted us said we could park up as we arrived early while waiting for our pitch which was really nice of her to do she was so nice and helpful so thank you for that . Also we ended up letting us on a bit early and was so lovely. Thank you for a nice stay .

Good value for money excellent free wi fi 🙂
Powered grass campsite
Liked This is our 4th visit , 2nd time this year . Pleasantly surprised to discover campsite now has free wi fi ( most sites we go on charge ) Peter was welcoming as always . Very accommodating, we were allowed to park our van on site on the day we were due to leave so that we could have a nosey around the boot fayre at 1pm . Not that we bought anything ! But ok if looking for cheap children’s toys / clothes . Good location for exploring Bude . 20 mins to walk into town / beach Seapool is a must 🙂 great fun and free .
