What customers say
This pretty eco-site has roomy spots in a quiet wooded area with great views. Guests loved the clean, tidy facilities, like the wood huts for toilets/showers, and the helpful, friendly staff. Early check-in, fire pit rentals, and a nearby pub are big pluses. Some mention faint traffic noise.

First time camping with my 4 yo. Loved it! We will do it again!
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked The clean toilets, the showers, the host who accommodated us even though I booked for wrong dates, and gave my son water gun (made him so happy)
Disliked The fact we were not allowed bbq but i understand it was extreme hazard at the time because of the hot weather. The wasps- I have no idea where they came from but they were everywhere and wish I chose something with more things to do with a child. But still happy!

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked The area is nice and green. I like the fact that you can pick your own spot.
Disliked There is no warm water at all. There are no lights by the facilities, which makes moving around at dusk difficult. The price is a little high compared to other campsites in the UK with similar facilities.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Beautiful site, natural and pitches not too regimented and plenty of personal space. Surrounded by trees. Excellent washing and toilet facilities - ECO. Lots of information boards detailing walks and cycle routes.
Disliked Cold showers.
Price per person higher than similar sites with have stayed at around the country - usually charge per pitch.

Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked Great little campsite just off the Hogs back, field camping but enclosed by woodlands, friendly welcome from staff and site dog `which was so so friendly', large plots, fire pit hire, with logs and marshmallows, clean toilets and wash-ups area, all rustic but fits the atmosphere perfectly. Will do again.
On motorbikes, it is a dirt track up to the site but nothing too extreme.

Amazing first time off grid solo camping experience!
Primitive grass tent campsite
Liked As it was my first time solo camping as a young female, it was quite daunting. However, the site was very easy to find, friendly staff and other campers, great facilities and absolutely stunning walks for all levels! I brought my two dogs who loved their stay too, including the free treats. We found some lovely spots for a packed lunch and followed the easy instructions on the welcome boards to find one of the local pubs to walk to for a packet of cheddars and a drink. The fire pits were great, perfect amount of logs included for a long night of warmth and light, complimentary bag of marshmallows too! Everything was very well sign posted/explained too which made things easier, especially being alone! All pitches were level and big too which was nice. Completely off grid which was just lovely, small amount of phone signal so wasn’t completely cut off but such a great way to have a break and reconnect with myself, the dogs and the lovely world we live in! All in all I had a great experience and would definitely stay again!
Disliked Wish I’d booked for longer!!
