  • Superbly located Surrey campsite with easy motorway access
  • Thorpe Park, Windsor Castle and Legoland Windsor within 30 mins' drive
  • On the banks of the River Thames, with Thames Path access
What a handy camping spot this is… Laleham Camping Club has easy access to the M3 and M25 motorways, it’s close to Heathrow airport and Staines railway station is only about 10 minutes’ drive away for easy jaunts to the capital. On top of all that, there are all sorts of attractions within easy reach, including Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures, Windsor Castle and Legoland Windsor. And if that all sounds a bit exhausting, it’s good to know that the location within London’s protected Green Belt means you’ll have peaceful surroundings for relaxing on site. The River Thames runs alongside, giving you access to the Thames Path for walks and bike rides, or to the water for kayaking, paddleboarding and swims. The nearest major urban centre is Staines, accessible by car, bus or a walk along the riverbank and with a good collection of shops and restaurants, plus a cinema. Closer to home, Laleham village is 10 minutes’ stroll away, and has a convenience store and a choice of three pubs. The folk that run this Surrey site haven’t just relied on their location, though – they’ve made sure the place is a comfortable place to stay, with a good number of facilities including a launderette, free hot showers and handy extras including hairdryers and shaver points. Chillout time is well spent here too – there’s a small play park with sandpit in the centre of the site, and a wet-weather room with Sky TV, a pool table, table tennis and a dartboard. Next door in Laleham Park there’s an outdoor gym, a bigger play park and plenty of space to play games or walk dogs.

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Great location next to the Thames
Facilities very clean
Lots of toilets & showers
Staff friendly & helpful
Great for plane watching as you're right under the flight path

Disliked The planes going right overhead, after just taking off, will wake you, this might not be what you want. Music played from main facilities building was quite loud & although it was turned down as the night went on it was still playing way past 9.30pm. There seems to be no curfew for the kids playground, they were still on there (right in the centre of the site) shouting & screaming gone 11pm. Not a quiet site, but great for families who want to sit up to the early hours

Primitive grass campsite

Liked Loos, showers, washing area all good.

Disliked Water to wash up not very hot.
Booked in as group of 5 three cars had to extra for 3rd car.
Can't understand why cars with tents and caravan had to park in the carpark. When campervans, rooftop tents vehicles are allowed to be on site.

Liked Really clean, lovely staff, love the fact you have double sinks for washing up and rinsing and we liked that you have cars in the car park and not driving around site. We came as a couple but we normally camp as a family of 6 and so when the kids are out playing it’s nice to know they are a bit safer with cars. We will definitely be back thank you for having us!

Disliked Nothing!
